9 CLD projects in Vietnam have achieved green building certification
Mr. Ronald Tay, General Director of CLD (Vietnam), said: “We are delighted to be honored with seven prestigious categories at the PropertyGuru Vietnam Property Awards 2023. This is a testament to CLD’s position as a trusted real estate developer. Over nearly three decades of presence in Vietnam, these awards reaffirm CLD’s commitment to creating unique and sustainable projects that deliver exceptional value and experiences to customers. With the support of our customers and partners, we will continue to maintain high standards of quality and innovation in our projects, aiming to enhance the lives of residents and enhance the communities where CLD operates.”
Over the years, CLD has been continuously implementing environmentally friendly designs, using low-emission construction materials as well as installing energy-saving and waste-reducing systems in its projects. To date, nine of CLD's projects in Vietnam have been certified as green buildings, including Feliz en Vista, d'Edge Thao Dien and Vista Verde in Ho Chi Minh City, as well as Mulberry Lane and Seasons Avenue in Hanoi. Among them, Heritage West Lake in Hanoi, De La Sol and DEFINE in Ho Chi Minh City have been certified with BCA Green Mark green building certifications for project design from the Singapore Ministry of Construction. SYCAMORE, CLD's first large-scale housing project in Vietnam, has also just been awarded EDGE green building certification for project design by IFC, a member of the World Bank Group.
CLD also strives to fulfill its social commitments as a responsible corporate citizen. Since 2007, through CapitaLand’s philanthropic arm, CapitaLand Hope Foundation (CHF), CLD has implemented many programs to improve infrastructure, education and nutrition for children in Vietnam. To date, CLD and CHF have supported the upgrading of four primary and kindergarten schools in Phu Tho, Long An and Hung Yen through the CapitaLand Hope Schools program, thereby creating good learning conditions for more than 1,400 students. The fifth school of the program is expected to be completed in the fourth quarter of 2024 in Bac Giang province.
Lumi Hanoi - “Excellent luxury apartment project (Hanoi)”, “Excellent luxury apartment architectural design” and “Excellent apartment landscape design”
Lumi Hanoi, a luxury housing project by CLD that has just been launched in the West of Hanoi, won 3 awards at the PropertyGuru Vietnam Real Estate Awards 2023 in the design and project categories thanks to its unique design style, lots of green space and synchronous amenities, meeting the needs and tastes of trendy customers.
The Lumi Hanoi project was designed by renowned French architect Jean-François Milou of Studio Milou, who is behind the designs of many award-winning projects such as the National Gallery of Singapore and the National Drama Center in Saint Etienne, France. Recently, Studio Milou also won the highest award at the architectural design competition for the Ho Chi Minh City Opera House in Thu Thiem, Thu Duc City. Lumi Hanoi is also the first residential project in Vietnam designed by Jean-François Milou.
Inspired by “lumière”, meaning “light” in French, Lumi Hanoi is symbolized by the brightness and warmth of the sun, the source of life for all things and a symbol of positivity. The theme of “city of light” is embellished with many elements, creating a harmonious master plan - a sustainable community thanks to the balance of residents’ health, the beauty of nature and the power of technology, thereby becoming a new symbol of Hanoi. The architecture and landscape of Lumi Hanoi also follow the inspiration of light, with the facades designed differently to break the monotony and bring visual interest, while the landscape is themed after astronomical elements such as the sun, aurora and stars.
CLD’s Lumi Hanoi luxury apartment project consists of nine towers from 29 to 35 floors, providing approximately 4,000 apartments. The project is being implemented in several phases and introduces a variety of apartment types from one-bedroom units of 42m2 to four-bedroom units of 135m2; duplexes and penthouses with areas ranging from 115m2 to 410m2 are also integrated into the project.
