(Dan Tri) - According to the leader of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City, ethics and public service culture play a very important role, directly affecting the effectiveness of public service performance of officials.
On the afternoon of November 15, the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs (DOLISA) of Ho Chi Minh City organized a conference to train public service ethics, codes of conduct, public service culture in agencies and units and deploy regulations on reviewing cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers going abroad.
In his opening speech, Mr. Le Van Thinh, Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City, said: "In recent years, the goal of improving public service culture, contributing to forming a standard working style and manner of conduct for cadres, civil servants and public employees has always been of interest to state administrative agencies and units, in order to ensure professionalism, responsibility, transparency and efficiency in public service performance."

Every year, the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City receives and processes more than 200,000 administrative procedures, while managing 6,276 people under social protection and 11,550 drug addicts.
Mr. Thinh assessed: "In activities, ethics and public service culture play a very important role, directly affecting the effectiveness of public service implementation of each department, division and unit under the Department".
Regarding the approval of cadres, civil servants, public employees and workers going abroad, the Director of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City requested that delegations and individuals properly implement requirements and responsibilities to ensure safety, and report to the organization before and after the trip.

At the conference, Dr. Phan Hai Ho, Head of the Department of State and Law, Ho Chi Minh City Academy of Officials, presented a report on public ethics; code of conduct for officials, civil servants, public employees and workers; public service culture in agencies and units...
Ms. Luong Thi Toi, Deputy Director of the Department, also implemented the regulations of the Standing Committee of the City Party Committee on the management and approval of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers going abroad; the Decision of the City People's Committee on amending and supplementing a number of articles of the Regulations on the management and approval of cadres, civil servants, public employees, and workers going abroad.
Through the training course, delegates improved their knowledge of public ethics, codes of conduct, and public service culture in their agencies and units, contributing to the formation of their own behavioral style, working manners, and ethical standards.
