Officials of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs offer incense to commemorate martyrs

(Dan Tri) - On the occasion of Lunar New Year 2025, a delegation of officials from the Department of Labor, War Invalids and Social Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City organized a flower offering ceremony at the statue of President Ho Chi Minh and offered incense to commemorate heroic martyrs.

On January 24, a delegation of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City led by Mr. Le Van Thinh, Director of the Department, came to offer flowers at the President Ho Chi Minh Monument Park. After that, the delegation went to the Martyrs' Cemetery and the City Cemetery to offer incense and flowers to commemorate the heroes and martyrs who fought and sacrificed for the independence and freedom of the country.

At the President Ho Chi Minh Monument Park, members of the delegation respectfully offered flowers and commemorated the great contributions of the lifelong leader to the revolutionary cause of the Party and the nation.

At the Martyrs’ Cemetery and the City Cemetery, the delegation laid wreaths and incense on each martyr’s grave. Members of the delegation cleaned each tombstone, paying tribute to the deceased.

According to the leader of the Department of Labor, Invalids and Social Affairs of Ho Chi Minh City, the City Martyrs Cemetery is the resting place of 14,366 heroic martyrs who sacrificed their lives for the cause of national liberation and protection of the fatherland.

The City Cemetery currently takes care of nearly 13,000 graves of senior leaders, Vietnamese Heroic Mothers, military and police generals, and veteran revolutionary cadres who participated in the two resistance wars against France and the United States.
