In his opening speech, Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office, Assistant to the National Assembly Chairman, Permanent Deputy Head of the Organizing Committee of the Dien Hong Awards Pham Thai Ha said that the first Dien Hong Awards was a great success with important contributions from advisors, experts and reporters. However, there were still articles and series of articles that were sketchy, not in-depth, and did not fully reflect the activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils.

Deputy Head of the National Assembly Office Pham Thai Ha emphasized that the training session aims to create favorable conditions for reporters and editors to share and exchange experiences, improve their professional qualifications and skills, and exploit in-depth knowledge about the position, role, organization and activities of the National Assembly and People's Councils in the political system; at the same time, improve understanding of the purpose, significance and regulations of the 2nd Dien Hong Award.
Thereby, contributing to improving the quality and quantity of press works on the National Assembly and People's Councils; strengthening the building of cooperative relationships, close ties between elected bodies, elected representatives and the team of journalists and reporters. From there, improving the effectiveness of information and propaganda work on the organization and activities of elected bodies and elected representatives, contributing to bringing legal policies easily into life, creating social consensus.
Reporters and editors were given information and shared by experts about the organization and operation of the National Assembly, the People's Council, and the relationship between National Assembly deputies, National Assembly agencies, and the press; lessons learned when writing news articles about the activities of the National Assembly and the People's Council; and professional press photography reflecting the National Assembly and the People's Council.
At the training session, the Organizing Committee announced the Decision to strengthen the Executive Board of the Parliamentary Reporters Club for the Executive Board of the Club.
