Ministry of Health latest instructions on 5 administrative procedures for medical examination and treatment

The Ministry of Health has just issued a decision on promulgating amended and supplemented administrative procedures in the field of health finance under the management scope of the Ministry of Health as prescribed in Decree No. 75 dated October 19, 2023 of the Government amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 146 dated October 17, 2018 of the Government detailing and guiding measures to implement a number of articles of the Law on Health Insurance (HI).

Accordingly, the Ministry of Health announced with this Decision 5 administrative procedures amended and supplemented in the field of health finance in Decree No. 75.

This Decision replaces Decision No. 4384 dated December 1, 2023 of the Minister of Health on the promulgation of 2 amended and supplemented administrative procedures in the field of health finance under the management scope of the Ministry of Health as prescribed in Decree No. 75 and the promulgation of 2 abolished administrative procedures in the field of health insurance under the management scope of the Ministry of Health as prescribed in Decision No. 7291 dated December 7, 2018 of the Minister of Health on the promulgation of newly issued administrative procedures in the field of health insurance under the management scope of the Ministry of Health.

5 administrative procedures were amended and supplemented in the field of health finance.

Previously, on October 19, 2023, the Government issued Decree No. 75 amending and supplementing a number of articles of Decree No. 146 dated October 17, 2018 of the Government detailing and guiding measures to implement a number of articles of the Law on Health Insurance.

The Decree has breakthrough regulations, removing "bottlenecks" in the payment mechanism for health insurance examination and treatment costs to facilitate health insurance examination and treatment, ensuring the rights of health insurance participants; supplementing and supporting health insurance contribution levels, amending health insurance benefit levels and enhancing the role and responsibility of ministries, branches, and medical examination and treatment facilities in managing and effectively using the health insurance fund.

In addition, the Decree also supplements and clarifies the method of paying health insurance for a number of groups of subjects, amends medical examination and treatment procedures to comply with the Government's regulations on the use of level 2 electronically identified documents and electronic authentication, and amends a number of other technical contents ...
