Naval Region 5 Command: improving the quality of the team of reporters propagating sea and island affairs

On the morning of September 18, in Phu Quoc City (Kien Giang Province), the Naval Region 5 Command held the closing ceremony of the 2024 Reporter Competition. Rear Admiral Nguyen Huu Thoan, Party Secretary and Political Commissar of the Region attended and directed.

The 2024 Reporter Competition of the Naval Region 5 Command took place over 2 days, September 17 and 18, with the participation of 35 candidates from agencies and units in the Region. The candidates took part in 3 competitions: Outline compilation competition; Reporter awareness, skills, and professional competition; and presentation competition according to the prepared outline.

The contest focuses on propagating Marxism-Leninism, Ho Chi Minh's thought; the Party's guidelines and viewpoints, the State's policies and laws; resolutions of the 13th Party Central Committee; achievements and lessons after nearly 40 years of the Party's leadership in national renewal; activities of the Vietnam People's Navy in the cause of protecting the sovereignty of the Fatherland's seas and islands in the new situation; the position and role of oral propaganda and public speaking skills...

According to the Organizing Committee's assessment, the contestants have done a good job of preparation, actively reviewed, mastered knowledge, skills, and professional skills in oral propaganda work. Among them, many contestants have good presentation styles and methods, mastered the content and stage; effectively applied information technology; illustrated images that are close to the propaganda theme; presented naturally, emotionally, attractively, engagingly, captivating listeners, leaving a deep impression on the members of the Jury.

In his closing speech, Rear Admiral Nguyen Huu Thoan emphasized: The 2024 Reporter Competition took place urgently, seriously, strictly, safely, and completed all contents and programs according to the set plan, reflecting and evaluating the quality of the staff and the results of oral propaganda work and reporter activities in agencies and units in the past time.

The Political Commissar of the Naval Region 5 Command requested Party committees and commanders at all levels to continue to thoroughly grasp and effectively implement documents from higher levels on oral propaganda work. In particular, focusing on training and improving the quality, qualifications, and capacity of reporters and oral propaganda for cadres at all levels, contributing to building politically strong agencies and units to meet the requirements of tasks in the new situation.

The Chief of Naval Region 5 Command awarded prizes to candidates with good achievements in the Regional competition.

At the end of the contest, the Naval Region 5 Command awarded 4 first prizes, 4 second prizes, 4 third prizes and 5 consolation prizes to the contestants with good achievements.

Colonel Vo Hung Lam, Political Commissar of the Region, awarded prizes to candidates with good achievements in the grassroots competition.

On this occasion, the Organizing Committee also awarded 2 First prizes, 2 Second prizes, 3 Third prizes and 2 Encouragement prizes to candidates with good achievements in the 2024 Grassroots Reporter Competition.
