The Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports said he welcomed the band Blackpink to perform in Vietnam in the near future. Mr. Do Dinh Hong shared that inviting Blackpink to perform in Vietnam was not simple.
The organizer of Blackpink's Born Pink performance at My Dinh National Stadium has submitted a performance license application to the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports.
"We welcome and look forward to Blackpink performing in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City," said the Director of the Hanoi Department of Culture and Sports. At the same time, Mr. Hong affirmed that he would create all conditions for the Korean band's concert to take place in Hanoi.
Mr. Do Dinh Hong also emphasized that this is an opportunity to attract international tourists to Vietnam.
Previously, YG Entertainment, Blackpink's management company, suddenly announced that the top K-pop group will come to Hanoi to hold the Born Pink concert. The show will take place at My Dinh Stadium, Hanoi on July 29 and 30.
This information excited Vietnamese fans because this is the first time B Blackpink has come to Vietnam to hold a concert.
Before their Hanoi stop, Blackpink embarked on their Born Pink world tour, which began in Seoul, South Korea, in October 2022. Since then, the group has sold out concerts in North America, Europe, and Asia.
Blackpink is one of the Korean girl groups with the largest fan base in Asia. According to statistics, as of April 2023, Blackpink is currently the Korean music group with the most viewers on YouTube, with nearly 30.1 billion views.
Blackpink’s Born Pink tour, which began last October, shows no signs of slowing down. According to media reports, the group earns between $2 million and $7 million per show in Asia, Europe, and the United States.
Concert Born Pink in Hanoi will officially open ticket sales on July 7.
