BTO-The 4th Central Ethnic Culture Festival in Quy Nhon City - Binh Dinh (abbreviated as the Festival), which took place from September 8 to 10, has come to an end. The Binh Thuan delegation with many activities brought the Festival to the traditional culture of the Cham and K'ho communities.
Accordingly, Binh Thuan delegation achieved many achievements in the Mass Arts Festival (A Prize: Traditional Instrument Concert); Two performances won B Prizes: "Joy of Adulthood" and "Ka Te Festival Drum"; C Prize for the performance "Ho Ra Sai". A Prize for Festival Excerpts; C Prize for Exhibition Display; B Prize for Tourism Introduction; B Prize for Traditional Costume Performance; C Prize for Traditional Cuisine. In sports competitions, Binh Thuan delegation also won 3rd prize in the crossbow shooting competition - men's standing team shooting, 3rd prize in men's tug of war.
The Central Ethnic Culture Festival aims to honor, introduce and promote the fine traditional cultural values of ethnic groups to the people of the whole country and international friends. Binh Thuan will bring a program imbued with traditional culture with the theme: "Preserving and promoting the cultural identity of Binh Thuan ethnic groups in the period of integration and development", with many cultural activities, exhibitions, introductions and promotion of local traditional culture.
In particular, Binh Thuan will introduce to friends and tourists about the Cham people in Binh Thuan, demonstrate and introduce traditional weaving and pottery products of the Cham people, introduce traditional cuisine of the Cham people, Kate Festival and Ramuwan Festival of the Cham people, typical relics of the Cham people, works of Cham culture, pottery making techniques, weaving, gingerbread making... Besides, there are traditional Cham costumes, traditional musical instruments: Ghi nang drum, Baranung drum, Saranai trumpet, rattles...
In addition to Cham culture, Binh Thuan also has the K'ho community with its own unique features. The program also features a special section on K'ho culture in Binh Thuan with some typical specialties of the K'ho people, introducing images, artifacts of rituals, festivals, traditional costumes and cultural life of the K'ho people, with the buffalo stabbing festival.
