The Chairman of the People's Council of Binh Dinh province affirmed that the locality will continue to accompany Naval Region 4 in implementing the "Greening Truong Sa" Program.
On the afternoon of July 28, at the reception of the working delegation of the Naval Region 4 Command led by Colonel Nguyen Van Bach - Commander of Naval Region 4, on the occasion of chairing the organization of the Program "Vietnam Navy as a fulcrum for fishermen to go offshore and stick to the sea" in Phu Cat district, Binh Dinh province, comrade Ho Quoc Dung - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the People's Council of Binh Dinh province affirmed that the locality will continue to accompany Naval Region 4 in implementing the Program "Greening Truong Sa".

Binh Dinh province plans to present Truong Sa island district with 35,000 coconut seedlings within 3 years (2022-2024) to contribute to accelerating the process of building Truong Sa island district to become greener, cleaner, and more beautiful in terms of landscape and environment, thereby encouraging the spirit of officers and soldiers at the forefront to always hold their guns firmly, firmly protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland. Of which, 5,000 coconut seedlings were presented by Binh Dinh in 2022 and supported by Naval Region 4 to transport to the islands for planting.
Naval Region 4 has also just received an additional 15,000 coconut seedlings from Binh Dinh province to continue implementing the “Greening Truong Sa” program, which is increasingly attracting many localities across the country to join hands in the spirit of “the whole country for Truong Sa”. In particular, Ben Tre province has presented Naval Region 4 with thousands of coconut seedlings and many other types of fruit trees.

In addition to the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province, Hoai Nhon town (Binh Dinh) also plans to present 3,000 coconut trees to Naval Region 4, of which 1,000 coconut seedlings were presented in 2022. This activity is part of the program of sponsoring seedlings and planting trees to green the Truong Sa island district and Cam Ranh peninsula, which is implemented annually by Hoai Nhon town.
At the reception, Rear Admiral Ngo Van Thuan, Political Commissar of Naval Region 4, said that with the support of coconut seedlings from Binh Dinh province, there is now a “Binh Dinh coconut road” on Song Tu Tay island. People on Truong Sa island district hope to have “Binh Dinh coconut gardens” on the islands of Truong Sa with this local support program.

Also at the reception, comrade Ho Quoc Dung thanked the Naval Region 4 Command for actively supporting fishermen in the province to go offshore and stick to the sea through many programs and activities, achieving practical results. Informing about the socio-economic development situation of the locality, the fishing activities of fishermen in Binh Dinh province - where the largest number of offshore fishing vessels in the country, comrade Ho Quoc Dung said that with the support of the Navy, Coast Guard, and Border Guard, most of the fishermen have been aware of obeying the law at sea, exploiting seafood safely and sustainably, and confidently going offshore and sticking to the sea for a long time.
Affirming the close military-civilian cooperation relationship between Binh Dinh and Naval Region 4, comrade Ho Quoc Dung acknowledged the positive and effective results of the program "Vietnam Navy as a fulcrum for fishermen to go offshore" that the Naval Region 4 Command has implemented in the province in recent years.

For his part, Colonel Nguyen Van Bach, Commander of Naval Region 4, affirmed that in recent times, the military-civilian cooperation activities between Binh Dinh province and Naval Region 4 Command have contributed to helping the unit perform well its assigned tasks, enhance its combat strength, and firmly protect the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.
The Commander of Naval Region 4 thanked the People's Committee of Binh Dinh province for supporting tens of thousands of coconut seedlings to implement the "greening Truong Sa" program, donating 600kg of Patox 4GR to control coconut beetles, and coordinating technical guidance on planting and caring for coconut trees for Truong Sa district...
Colonel Nguyen Van Bach emphasized: “This is the great concern, encouragement, motivation, and support in terms of both material and spiritual aspects from the Party Committee, agencies, organizations, and people of Binh Dinh province for the officers and soldiers of Naval Region 4, the army, and the people on Truong Sa island district, making us more confident, steady in our guns, steady in our steering wheel, and firmly protecting the sovereignty of the sea and islands of the Fatherland.”
