Binh Chanh proposes solution to keep students in the district when entering 10th grade

According to the report of the Department of Education and Training of Binh Chanh District, in the 2023-2024 school year, the rate of students studying 2 sessions/day in primary school is 34/41 schools, and in secondary school there are 17/22 schools. The district has mobilized 100% of children to enter grades 1 and 6. The rate of grade 9 students participating in the grade 10 entrance exam with a total score of 3 subjects from 15 or higher is 3,787/6,403 students.

In the 2024-2025 school year, Binh Chanh district strives for 63% of primary schools to have students studying 2 sessions/day; 62% of secondary schools to have students studying 2 sessions/day.

In the 2024-2025 school year, Binh Chanh district sets the following targets: Building schools that meeteducational quality accreditation according to regulations; building April 30 Kindergarten and Phong Phu 2 Primary School according to the high-quality school model "Advanced international integration"; 63% of primary schools have students studying 2 sessions/day, 62% of secondary schools have students studying 2 sessions/day...

Mr. Tran Van Nam, Secretary of Binh Chanh District Party Committee, said that next school year, schools need to improve training quality to keep students studying in the district.

Regarding the enrollment target for grade 10, the People's Committee of Binh Chanh district has proposed many solutions. In particular, analyzing the scores of 3 subjects, dividing them into literature, English, math and dividing them into groups of schools; from there, there will be an orientation to overcome limitations, providing specific solutions in teaching to improve the scores of each subject. Organizing seminars, training and developing the quality of the teaching staff, innovating teaching methods for subjects participating in the grade 10 entrance exam.

For schools with low student test scores, we will focus on reviewing, assigning teachers, and arranging appropriate timetables; organizing analysis and evaluation of scores after each test, from which we will propose solutions for the next period.
