Reviewing the results of the 2023-2024 school year, Deputy Head of the Department of Education and Training of Quoc Oai District Nguyen Ngoc Nam said that despite many difficulties in the past school year, the Education and Training Department of Quoc Oai ended the school year safely, seriously and achieved encouraging results. The whole sector continues to innovate management work with the motto: "Strict discipline, real quality, high efficiency". Each level of education has had many solutions in direction and management to improve the quality of comprehensive education.
Preschools have implemented effective solutions to ensure children's safety. Health care is regularly focused on, the clean vegetable garden model is effectively implemented, and a clean and friendly space is built, contributing to improving the quality of child care. School safety and security are ensured, with no poisoning, epidemics, or violence occurring in schools.
Regarding the quality of education, high school students are assessed to ensure compliance with regulations and have many positive changes. The rate of students completing the program at the school level is 99.96%; secondary school students are assessed and classified in terms of conduct, academic performance, and graduation recognition to ensure regulations. The rate of excellent students and advanced students ensures the proposed plan.
At the city and district-level competitions for excellent students in cultural and scientific subjects, 55 students won prizes, an increase of 18 prizes compared to the 2022-2023 school year.
At the same time, cultural, artistic and sports activities at the city and national levels have achieved many outstanding results. Activities of clubs, models of moral education and life skills in schools have been expanded in scale and increasingly deepened.
To improve the quality of teaching, the district's Department of Education and Training has actively and proactively trained teachers and prepared adequate facilities and equipment.
In particular, the industry's work of advising on investment in building facilities, quality control and building schools that meet national standards has made great efforts. By the end of 2023, the district had 67/77 schools meeting national standards (reaching a rate of 87.0%0) and 21/77 schools reaching national level 2, reaching a rate of 27.6%. The application of information technology in management and teaching is focused.
Recognizing and praising the achievements of the education and training sector, Chairman of the People's Committee of Quoc Oai district Nguyen Truong Son suggested that in the coming school year, the education and training sector needs to implement discipline, order, and ethics of teachers; enhance responsibility and promote the personal capacity of the teaching staff; arrange personnel; assign tasks in accordance with regulations; and implement democratic regulations in schools.
Along with that, review and repair facilities, equipment, toys. Especially, coordinate to review, plan the school network and strengthen facilities, repair and renovate school conditions towards meeting standards; prepare well the conditions to implement the new curriculum and textbooks for grades 5 and 9.
Strictly implement the guidance documents of superiors and the City People's Council on the early-year collections at educational institutions. Ensure childcare, teaching and education, 2-session teaching/day, enrollment, class staffing... in accordance with regulations.
On the other hand, it is necessary to launch emulation movements for cadres, teachers and students to create a vibrant competitive atmosphere in the unit right from the first days of the school year. Continue to effectively implement the movement "Schools join hands to develop - Teachers share responsibility" for the period 2022-2025".
At the conference, the People's Committee of Quoc Oai district awarded certificates of merit to 58 collectives that achieved the title of advanced labor collective in the 2023-2024 school year and rewarded 15 individuals who won the award "Dedicated and creative Hanoi teachers" of Quoc Oai district.
