On June 13, the Hanoi Party Committee, People's Council, People's Committee and Vietnam Fatherland Front Committee held a meeting with representatives of press agencies on the occasion of the 98th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day (June 21, 1925 - June 21, 2023).

At the meeting, Vice Chairman of Hanoi People's Committee Ha Minh Hai informed about the situation and results of the city's socio-economic development in the first 6 months of 2023. Delegates from press agencies expressed their opinions, discussed and gave suggestions to the city leaders on some specific contents.
In particular, opinions highly appreciated the spirit of daring to think, daring to do, daring to take responsibility of the city's leaders, demonstrated through major policies that the city is implementing such as developing cultural industry, implementing the Ring Road 4 project - Capital Region... At the same time, the press also hopes that Hanoi will re-organize weekly press conferences to provide information.
On behalf of the city's leaders, Hanoi Party Secretary Dinh Tien Dung sent his warmest regards and best wishes to the officials, reporters and editors of the press agencies.
Acknowledging and appreciating the opinions and proposals of the press agency leaders at the meeting, Secretary of the City Party Committee Dinh Tien Dung shared and clarified the policies and viewpoints that the city has been implementing to build and develop the capital.
Notably, Hanoi is not only determined to promote rapid and sustainable economic development, but also aims for even, leading and widespread development. The determination to promote the development of transport infrastructure, including the Ring Road 4 - Capital Region project, also aims to materialize that spirit.
Mr. Dinh Tien Dung said that after 1 year of implementing the National Assembly's Resolution on the project investment policy, Hanoi plans to start the project on Sunday, June 25. The city has also focused on mobilizing cultural resources, investing heavily to develop culture on par with economic development, becoming a new resource, a new driving force. The ecological environment is also a top concern of the city's leaders. The capital's economic structure has also shifted positively in that spirit, currently, the largest proportion is services and trade; in 2022, this sector accounted for 64%, and has now increased to 66%.

For Hanoi, the press always plays a very important role and position on the path of development, especially in information and propaganda work to unify awareness, strengthen trust, and enhance consensus among cadres, party members and people.
The Secretary of the Hanoi Party Committee proposed that based on the comments of journalists, the Propaganda Department of the Hanoi Party Committee and the City People's Committee coordinate to soon reorganize regular press conferences to provide information to the press.
At the same time, request the city's agencies, especially the leaders of departments, branches, districts, towns to proactively provide information to the press; do not let the delay in providing information cause unnecessary noise.
Mr. Dinh Tien Dung hopes and suggests that in the coming time, central and city press agencies and journalists continue to pay attention, accompany and share with the city, contributing to Hanoi's successful implementation of the task of building a civilized, modern and cultural capital as stated in Resolution No. 15-NQ/TU dated May 5, 2022 of the 13th Politburo on the direction and tasks of developing Hanoi capital to 2030, with a vision to 2045.
