The secret to keeping fit of the female MC

Hanoi – Every day, 30-year-old MC Hai Yen spends an hour at the gym, not only improving her fitness but also helping her achieve a toned physique and a "tiny" waist.

Hoang Hai Yen is an editor and presenter (MC) at Vietnam Television. She won the Miss Vietnam Student Pageant 2015 and later transitioned to a career as a presenter. Yen is currently a familiar face on the "Chuyen Dong 24h" news program.

On television, the female MC impresses viewers with her beautiful face and professional, charming hosting style. Her personal Facebook page, with nearly 50,000 followers, receives many compliments on her beauty and toned, balanced physique. Every day, she dedicates about an hour to working out at the gym as a routine.

In 2020, Yen was very thin and lacked vitality, with her three measurements almost equal, so she decided to start going to the gym to become healthier and more beautiful. Initially, Yen maintained a workout routine of 2-3 times a week, but for the past year, she has been working out almost every day, either alone or with a trainer.

When she first started, the female MC prioritized cardio exercises, which increase and control heart rate, boost metabolism, burn excess fat, and improve blood circulation. Gradually, she moved on to resistance training. This involves using resistance equipment such as weights, bands, and resistance belts to increase muscle strength and endurance. Yến herself considers her workouts quite strenuous, with some exercises involving weights as heavy as 100 kg.

According to experts, by applying pressure, your muscles are forced to work harder, thus developing stronger. In addition to muscle building, resistance training is considered a highly effective method for increasing strength and improving physical fitness.

Yen shared that the most difficult thing about training is that you need perseverance, consistency, and diligence; you can't give up halfway, especially in gym training – a rather strenuous activity. Initially, like many people, she felt lazy about going to the gym and often experienced muscle soreness. Gradually, as she got used to it, she became increasingly passionate, always telling herself to train hard and strive to become healthier and more beautiful.

"Getting tired after a workout is quite normal, but as your body recovers, you'll feel better. The important thing is to understand your body, otherwise you'll overexert yourself, strain your muscles excessively, or get injured," she said, advising everyone to train with a coach for strenuous exercises. The reason is that training by yourself using online videos carries the risk of incorrect movements and posture, ineffective results for body parts, and even injury.

Yen is 1.72 m tall and weighs 60 kg, but thanks to gym workouts, the female MC has a slim and toned physique.

"Looking at me from the outside, many people wouldn't think I weigh 60 kg, because at this weight, the body usually looks very bulky, big, and fat. However, thanks to the gym, my physique looks very fit and well-proportioned," Yen said.

Besides going to the gym, Yen also practices pitales to improve her overall health, experience new things, and discover her potential. Pitales is also considered effective for maintaining a good physique and improving physical and mental health because this discipline focuses heavily on building core muscles, including the back muscles, abdominal muscles, and thigh muscles.

In terms of nutrition, the female MC doesn't diet but eats a diverse range of fruits, vegetables, meat, fish, and eggs, containing all four nutrient groups: carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins, and minerals, to maintain her energy for sports training and build muscle. However, she particularly eats plenty of green vegetables, drinks lots of water, and limits sweets and processed foods.

Besides exercise and nutrition, Yen has many tips for taking care of her health and beauty, especially prioritizing going to bed early, getting enough sleep, and drinking plenty of water. Possessing fair and smooth skin, Yen regularly undergoes intensive skincare treatments every week. Every day, she focuses on cleansing and applying moisturizing and restorative face masks, as her job requires frequent makeup application.

"Exercise, nutrition, and a healthy lifestyle make me feel more beautiful every day, which in turn makes me more confident and optimistic," Yen said.
