After the morning recess, and before the trial continued with the questioning, the panel of judges announced that during the recess, the defendant Truong My Lan and her lawyer had asked the panel of judges for permission for the defendant's daughter Chu Diep Phan and her nephew to meet with some people who were in need of money and to keep the defendant Truong My Lan's money so that the defendant could recover it and remedy the consequences of the case.

Accordingly, presiding judge Pham Luong Toan emphasized that the panel of judges always creates the best conditions for defendant Truong My Lan and all defendants in the case to remedy the consequences, if any. Therefore, the defendants' lawyers and relatives should continue to take measures to recover assets.
According to the presiding judge, if necessary, the defendant Lan and her family can make a list of people who are holding the money, how much money they owe, and the specific addresses so that the panel of judges and the prosecuting agency can collect it to ensure that the consequences of the case are remedied during the trial phase 1 and the investigation, prosecution, and trial phase 2 of the case will come.
The trial is continuing with the questioning of defendant Lan and 84 accomplices on the following groups of charges: embezzlement of property; bribery; receiving bribes; violating regulations on lending in the operations of credit institutions; violating regulations on banking activities and other activities related to banking activities; taking advantage of positions and powers while performing official duties; and lack of responsibility causing serious consequences.
Previously, during the investigation phase, the Investigation Agency seized more than 590 billion VND and nearly 15 million USD in relation to the criminal acts of the defendant Truong My Lan and her accomplices. During the prosecution phase, nearly 55.5 billion VND was additionally seized from the defendants. In addition, the prosecution agencies have frozen 42 accounts of the defendants and individuals opened on their behalf at banks, totaling nearly 1,900 billion VND and more than 8.4 million USD.
In addition, the authorities have temporarily detained 1,266 original copies of land use right certificates (LURCs), construction work certificates; temporarily detained 1,784 photocopies of LURCs; a list of 269 houses and lands for rent and 21 notarized contracts, 147 compensation agreements for land plots and LURCs of the Bac Phuoc Kien project in Nha Be district, Ho Chi Minh City; seized 1,237 real estates directly related to defendant Truong My Lan; seized 61 real estates and prevented transactions of 8 real estates of 7 other defendants and individuals in the names of the defendants; seized 8 real estates of Au Lac Quang Ninh Company Limited in Quang Ninh related to the cooperation agreement with defendant Lan; 143 resettlement LURCs in An Nhut Tan commune (Long An).
The prosecution agency also blocked transactions of Saigon Kim Cuong Joint Stock Company for 8 accounts opened at SCB, totaling more than 789 billion VND; seized more than 857 million SCB shares of Truong My Lan and individuals in her name; seized more than 137 million shares of 5 companies, blocked more than 14,000 shares of a company of Do Xuan Nam; seized 22 assets including 1 yacht, 2 ships, 19 cars of defendant Lan, defendant Truong Hue Van in the names of legal entities....
