Bringing Mozart 's music closer to Vietnamese audiences
Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (1756 - 1791) was a great Austrian composer of the 18th century, with the most profound contributions and influence on the art of classical music. Mozart's music conquered the hearts of millions of music lovers around the world with its endless beauty of sounds, sophistication and richness of emotion, and profound scholarship. Mozart is also the most typical representative of the Classical period (a major period in the history of music, after the Baroque period and before the Romantic period).
Mozart's music not only has cultural and artistic value but also has value in thinking and knowledge, helping to improve the aesthetics and intelligence of the listener. Therefore, Ho Guom Theater organized two music nights "Bei Momenti" - The Mozart Concert on August 23 and 24, with the desire to bring Mozart's music closer to Vietnamese audiences, helping the public have the opportunity to enjoy Mozart's music in the most complete and sublime way. 10 classic works of Mozart were selected to perform at the music night.
This is also the next wheel, extending the passionate and dedicated journey of Ho Guom Theater in the work of lighting the flame of classical music in Vietnam, helping Vietnamese audiences have quality and civilized spiritual food. Before "Bei Momenti" - The Mozart Concert, Ho Guom Theater successfully performed the Four Seasons Concert in April 2024.

Audience got goosebumps before the beauty of sound
True to its name “Bei Momenti” (Beautiful Moment), the concert night was a synthesis of the absolute beauty of sound in Mozart’s music, from melody, harmony to lyrics and vocals under the skillful guidance of Conductor Étienne Lemieux-Després. Everything was gorgeously beautiful, beautiful in every tone and emotion, aiming to bring the audience the most beautiful moments when entering the world of classical music.
The concert was divided into two main parts, each consisting of a symphony and four opera arias, for a total of ten pieces. The opera arias were taken from four of Mozart's classic operas: Don Giovanni, Le Nozze di Figaro, Cosi Fan Tutte and Die Zauberflöte.
Just opening the show, Les Musiciens du Louvre treated the audience to a sumptuous musical feast with the classic work “Eine kleine Nachtmusik" Serenade in G major. This work is extremely familiar to the audience as it is often used as background music for programs. When listening live at the Hoan Kiem Theater, the audience felt like they were invited to a starry night ball in the hall of a classical European palace to dance to the ups and downs of the music, sometimes fast, sometimes slow, sometimes strong, sometimes soft, sometimes melodious, sometimes vibrant and bustling.
After the opening ball, Sofia Savenko appeared like a muse in a long dress of neutral colors, luxurious and feminine. The special voice of the Russian-German "nightingale" also made a strong impression, filling the entire theater space. Through the arias, Sofia led the audience to "touch" every range of emotions, sometimes graceful, gentle, affectionate, sometimes tormented, sometimes burning, fierce, and yearning.

In order for the audience to enjoy the music more fully, the context of each aria excerpt is simulated by the Ho Guom Theater with illustrations and subtitles. Thus, the audience does not necessarily need to know Italian or German to understand the content and story of each excerpt so that they can follow and immerse themselves in the artistic space of dreams. Everyone closes their eyes to let their souls drift with the music, flying to the world of the characters in Mozart's music.
Audiences can enjoy masterpieces of classical music, improving their aesthetic sense and musical knowledge. From there, they can understand the efforts, hard work, thinking and ability of those who have been keeping the fire of classical music alive in Vietnam.
After the classic work "Eine kleine Nachtmusik" and 8 Opera excerpts, the concert ended with Symphony No. 40 in G minor, K. 550. This symphony is one of the most familiar works to Vietnamese audiences, so the opportunity to enjoy it live from an international symphony orchestra performing with many layers of sound resounding and blending together brought countless emotions to the listeners.
Audience lined up to get autographs from the artists after the show.
When the performance ended, the whole auditorium erupted in endless applause in lieu of praise for the artists standing on stage for having treated them to a sumptuous musical feast. The endless applause proved that the true and noble musical values will live forever, capturing the hearts of the public. This is something that does not happen in pop music nights. Only in classical music can the audience be so emotionally sublimated to admire the artists.
The conductor also sent his sincere thanks to the theater, sponsors, and the Louvre Orchestra for helping the concert to be successful. In particular, he did not forget to thank the Vietnamese audience in Vietnamese, "Thank you. See you again", which made everyone excited. The orchestra also presented the audience with a piece of music by the French composer Jean-Philippe RAMEAU, who had the greatest influence on the orchestra, with the excerpt "Tambourine" from the Opera Dardanus.
Finally, all the members of the orchestra stood up and bowed to thank the Vietnamese audience. The whole auditorium once again erupted in joyful and emotional applause.
After the performance, the Les Musiciens du Louvre orchestra led by conductor Étienne Lemieux-Després and soprano Sofia Savenko also had time to interact and sign autographs with fans. Although it was late, many audiences still lingered around the two artists to get closer to these world-class musical talents. The soprano was not only beautiful but also extremely friendly with the Vietnamese audience. These moments will remain in the audience's memories as beautiful memories./.
