Hanoi Singing Contest 2024 is organized by Hanoi Radio and Television, continuing the tradition and achievements of the Hanoi Television Singing Contest - one of the first vocal competitions in Vietnam.
The jury of the final round includes People's Artist Quang Vinh - Chairman of the Hanoi Music Association, People's Artist Quoc Hung - Deputy Director of the Vietnam National Academy of Music, musician Duc Trinh - Chairman of the Vietnam Musicians Association, People's Artist Mai Hoa, People's Artist Thanh Lam, People's Artist Tan Minh, and singer Anh Tho.
In the final round, each contestant performed two songs, including one song about Hanoi and one song of their choice in musical style (classical chamber music, folk music and pop music).
Of the 15 contestants, 13 were selected by the judges based on their scores in two rounds of the four semi-final nights. The remaining two contestants were voted on by the audience on the Hanoi On app and based on their performance in developing their personal YouTube channels.

People's Artist Quang Vinh - Chairman of the Hanoi Music Association, head of the jury, assessed the contestants that this year, besides the folk and chamber music genres that have maintained a stable and safe level, without any breakthroughs, the light music genre has been somewhat more prominent in both quality and number of contestants participating.
"This year's Hanoi Singing Contest has many more young faces participating, bringing new, contemporary breaths to the contest," he said.
The jury representative added that there are contestants who know how to choose music genres and songs that suit their personal conditions to maximize their strengths, skillfully combining stage elements to increase the quality of their performance.
However, there are also contestants who have not prepared carefully from the beginning when choosing the music genre or choosing songs that are not really suitable or are not really interested in their inner thoughts and performance style, so even though they have good voices, their performance is not a quality musical product.

As a result, with the songs Loi ru (composed by Quang Thai) and Menh mang mot khuc song Hong (Pho Duc Phuong), contestant from Nghe An, Nguyen Moc An, won the special prize (the highest prize of the contest) with a total prize of more than 500 million VND (including cash and gifts).
This is quite a surprising result because many viewers "gave" this award to other contestants.
Performing the song Sang Song (composer Trinh Gia Nhi), contestant Dang Ngoc Anh won first prize in the chamber music category. Singing Duoi Hien Nha (composer Tran Khanh Ly), contestant Pham Thi Huyen won first prize in the folk music category.
Ninh Trinh Quang Minh, one of the contestants who knew how to choose songs (both good taste and suitable for his voice) won first prize in the light music category with the song Lu Dem (Duong Cam).
In addition to the special prize and first prize, the final night also awarded second and third prizes in music genres, the prize for the best contestant singing about Hanoi, the prize for the most impressive performance style, the prize for the most favorite contestant on the digital platform, the promising prize, and the prize for the most favorite contestant through voting on the Hanoi On app.
