Newborn baby girl abandoned at hospital with message "I made a mistake"

(Dan Tri) - A newborn baby girl was discovered by locals in the lobby of Quang Nam Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital with a message "I made a mistake, please adopt her".

On December 18, a representative of the leadership of Quang Nam Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital confirmed to Dan Tri reporter about the discovery of a newborn baby girl abandoned in the hospital lobby on the evening of December 17.

The baby was found wrapped in a white towel and wrapped in a plastic bag. Inside the bag was a piece of paper with a message from the mother: "Due to circumstances, I cannot raise him because I am still in school. I made a mistake, please adopt him."

Immediately after discovery, the medical team on duty at the hospital quickly took the baby to the Examination and Emergency Department for a health check.

After examination, the baby weighed 2.3 kg and was in stable health. The baby was transferred to the Department of Emergency Intensive Care and Neonatal Pathology for further monitoring and care.

As of December 18, according to information from the hospital doctor, the baby's health is still stable.

Quang Nam Maternity and Pediatrics Hospital has reported the incident to the local authorities and requested support with legal procedures so that the baby can be cared for and raised according to the law. At the same time, the hospital also announced on the mass media so that the baby's relatives can come and claim the baby.
