Previously, on April 16, at Huong Phuoc Hamlet, Phuoc Tan Ward (Bien Hoa City), Phuoc Tan Ward Police caught Du red-handed illegally buying and selling drugs to addicts. Searching Du, the police seized 116 packets of heroin and 11 packages of crystal meth. Continuing to search Du's rented room at Vuon Dua Hamlet, Phuoc Tan Ward discovered and seized an additional 86 packets of heroin and 3 packages of crystal meth.
Working with the police, Du confessed to buying the drugs in Ho Chi Minh City to resell to addicts for profit. To avoid police surveillance, he often closed his room door and dug a small hole in the wall to observe the outside. To deliver drugs to addicts, Du often contacted them by phone and arranged a delivery location.
