From 2022 to 2024, the Lao Cai Provincial Defense Zone Steering Committee has done a good job of advising the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to thoroughly grasp and strictly implement the contents of the construction and operation of the defense zone. National defense and security education has changed positively; the socio-economy has always achieved a good growth rate, people's lives have been improved; the quality of the armed forces has been constantly improved; the defense zone posture, the national defense posture, and people's security have been firmly consolidated; political security, social order and safety on the border and inland have been maintained; foreign affairs have been strengthened.
Speaking at the inspection, Major General Nguyen Dang Khai emphasized that in recent years, the Lao Cai Provincial Defense Zone Steering Committee has done a good job of advising the Provincial Party Committee and the Provincial People's Committee to lead and direct the implementation of Resolution 28 of the Politburo and Decree 21 of the Government. The direction of localities in building and operating the provincial defense zone has achieved many very important results; the awareness and responsibility of cadres at all levels have been raised; the Party's leadership mechanism in building and operating the defense zone has been effectively implemented; the advisory capacity of military agencies, police, border guards and departments, branches, sectors, organizations and localities has changed a lot; the provincial armed forces have been constantly cared for, built and strengthened in all aspects; The national defense posture is associated with the people's security posture, the defense posture is increasingly consolidated, capable of handling situations, maintaining political stability, social order and safety, creating a favorable environment for the province to successfully implement socio-economic development goals.
Speaking at the inspection, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Trinh Xuan Truong stated: Through the inspection, the Provincial Defense Zone Steering Committee has learned from experience, promptly supplemented some contents and methods in the construction and operation of the province's defense zone; clarified the results of building the province's political, cultural, social, economic, scientific - technological, military, security and foreign affairs potentials. The working delegation has assessed the advantages, disadvantages and causes in the implementation process. The Provincial Defense Zone Steering Committee has seriously accepted opinions to propose policies and solutions to lead, direct and organize the implementation of the task of building and operating the defense zone to achieve better results, meeting the requirements of implementing the strategic task of building and protecting the Fatherland in the new situation.
