This is an important bridge, forming a closed traffic network between Bac Duong and Nam Duong areas of Bac Ninh province, connecting the region with the provinces of the Red River Delta.
At the ceremony, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province Nguyen Huong Giang emphasized: In recent years, Bac Ninh province has always paid attention to and devoted large resources with many forms of investment and appropriate policies to mobilize social resources for the development of transport infrastructure, focusing on key investment to create important driving forces for socio-economic development. Many important transport projects have been actively invested in and built, contributing to creating a new look, helping to take advantage of the province's comparative advantages, and exploiting land resources more effectively.

Construction started in early 2018, with a total investment of nearly 2,000 billion VND, Kinh Duong Vuong Bridge has a modern design scale, synchronous in both structure and cultural value. The route length is 1,518.03m, of which the bridge is 1,215.0m long; the later section on Tien Du side is 222.45m long; the Thuan Thanh side is 80.58m long. The starting point is at Km14+313.25, in Canh Hung commune (Tien Du); the end point is at Km15+831.28, in Dai Dong Thanh commune (Thuan Thanh town).
The bridge is designed on a permanent scale; the bridge cross-section is 22.5m wide; 25 spans, reinforced concrete design, combining steel arches and suspension cables into the bridge deck. This is the highest steel arch bridge in Vietnam, with a unique design. After many adjustments to the planning, construction plan, and technical design of some project items, it has now been officially completed.

Kinh Duong Vuong is a legendary figure, a descendant of King Shennong, who is revered as the ancestor of the Bai Viet people, worshiped in a temple in A Lu village, Dai Dong Thanh commune (Thuan Thanh town); Kinh Duong Vuong's mausoleum and temple were classified by Vietnamese feudal dynasties as temples to worship Emperors, and were worshiped with great respect throughout the dynasties.
Kinh Duong Vuong Bridge plays a role in connecting National Highways 1, 17, 287, 38, 18, aiming to complete the planning of transport development in the key economic region of the North, effectively serving the socio-economic development of the capital region, directly the provinces of Bac Ninh, Hung Yen, Hai Duong, Bac Giang... with a noble cultural mission, connecting historical relic sites in the area south of the Duong River such as: Kinh Duong Vuong Tomb, Dau Pagoda, But Thap Pagoda, Luy Lau Citadel... with relics in the north of the Duong River such as: Phat Tich Pagoda, Do Temple, Dinh Bang Communal House, Tieu Pagoda... promoting the development of spiritual cultural tourism in the Quan Ho region.
