On the afternoon of February 3, at the Provincial Conference Center, the Standing Committee of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee held a conference to launch the book "History of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee, Volume III (2005 - 2020)" and launch the online contest "Learning about the history of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee, Volume III (2005 - 2020) and the 130th anniversary of the founding of Bac Giang province (October 10, 1895 - October 10, 2025)".
Attending the conference were comrades: Nguyen Van Gau - Member of the Party Central Committee, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee; Nguyen Thi Huong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Council; Nguyen Viet Oanh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee.
Also attending were members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; leaders of the Provincial People's Council, People's Committee, National Assembly Delegation; members of the Provincial Party Executive Committee; representatives of departments, branches, sectors, the Fatherland Front and socio-political organizations of the province; leaders of the Propaganda Department of the district, city and town Party Committees and leaders of the Political Centers of the districts, towns and cities.
The book “History of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee, Volume III” is a scientific work recording the leadership and direction of the implementation of the innovation, integration and development of the Provincial Party Committee through 3 Congress terms, 2005-2020 period. It highlights the achievements in the fields of economy, culture, society, national defense, security, Party building and the political system; at the same time, draws lessons for the leadership and direction of the implementation of the province's political tasks in the new period.
The book consists of 468 pages published in December 2024, size 15x22 cm. The book consists of 3 chapters: Chapter I: Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee leads the People to promote potentials and strengths, promote industrialization and modernization of agriculture and rural areas (2005-2010); Chapter II: Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee leads the People to comprehensively develop socio-economy, build new rural areas (2010-2015); Chapter III: Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee promotes the strength of solidarity, democracy, innovation, creativity, bringing Bac Giang to develop rapidly, comprehensively, and sustainably (2015-2020). The book is published in 2 forms: printed book and e-book for use and exploitation on the internet platform at the address: sachquocgia.vn.
Reporting on the process of compiling the book "History of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee, Volume III (2005-2020)", Deputy Head of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department Le Duc Minh said that during the process of researching and compiling the book, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, the Steering Committee, and the Compilation Committee made efforts to collect and gather historical documents of the locality; organized many conferences and seminars and received many enthusiastic and responsible contributions from leaders and former leaders of the province through the periods; comrades in the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, the Party History Institute under the Ho Chi Minh National Academy of Politics, scientists knowledgeable about local history; departments, branches, unions and district Party Committees, town Party Committees, city Party Committees, and Party Committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee, along with many contributions from cadres and Party members in the entire Provincial Party Committee.
The book was published on the occasion of the 95th anniversary of the Party's founding, contributing to raising pride in the glorious tradition of the provincial Party Committee; fostering revolutionary spirit and love for the homeland and country for cadres, party members and people of all walks of life, especially helping the young generation better understand the 15-year historical development journey of their homeland.
It is known that previously, the book History of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee, Volume I (1926-1975) published in 2003 and the book History of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee, Volume II (1975-2005) published in 2008 introduced to cadres, party members, and people inside and outside the province about a glorious revolutionary struggle of the Party Committee and people of all ethnic groups in Bac Giang province, contributing with the nation to the glorious victory of the August Revolution in 1945, the resistance war against the US to save the country (1954-1975) as well as in the cause of building and defending the Fatherland, implementing the renovation process, promoting industrialization and modernization of the country in the current period.
Also at the conference, comrade Le Duc Minh deployed the Rules of the Online Contest "Learning the History of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee, Volume III (2005-2020) and the 130th Anniversary of the Establishment of Bac Giang Province".
Speaking at the conference, Comrade Nguyen Van Gau - Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee praised the Steering Committee, the Editorial Board, the leadership and staff of the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department and many agencies and units for joining hands and contributing to the book's completion on schedule, launched at a very meaningful time of the 95th anniversary of the founding of the Communist Party of Vietnam. At the same time, he thanked the valuable contributions, efforts and intelligence of the groups and individuals.
Regarding the Online Contest to learn about the History of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee (2005-2020) and the 130th anniversary of the founding of Bac Giang province (October 10, 1895 - October 10, 2025), he said that this is one of the three contents of the Contest "Bac Giang - Faith and Aspiration" launched by the Provincial Party Standing Committee in June 2024; is a practical activity to celebrate the 100th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day, the 130th anniversary of the founding of Bac Giang province, especially to welcome the success of the Party Congresses at all levels, the 20th Provincial Party Congress, term 2025-2030 towards the 14th National Party Congress. At the same time, it is an opportunity for cadres, party members, and people of all walks of life to learn about the 130-year history of formation and development of Bac Giang province.
In order for the book History of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee, Volume III (2005 - 2020) to fully promote its value and become a valuable document; The online contest is widely disseminated, Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee Nguyen Van Gau requested the Provincial Party Committee's Propaganda Department to continue to proactively coordinate with district party committees, town party committees, city party committees, party committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee, departments, branches and sectors of the province to effectively implement the distribution of books to the grassroots and introduce them to central agencies, provinces and cities nationwide. Coordinate with relevant agencies to introduce the book and documents about the Contest on the Internet and social networks.
The Provincial Fatherland Front Committee and socio-political organizations promote extensive propaganda among union members, association members and people of all walks of life in the province about the content of the book "History of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee, Volume III (2005-2020)" and the Online Contest in many forms; so that cadres, party members, union members, association members and people of all walks of life can see the meaning and value of the book, and actively respond to participate in the Contest.
The Provincial Political School, the Political Centers of districts, towns and cities propagate and disseminate the Contest to students to actively participate; research and filter the content in the history book to compile teaching materials in training and fostering programs.
The Department of Education and Training directs local schools to research and add history content to local history education lectures at schools and levels; and to disseminate information so that cadres, teachers and students can actively participate in the Contest.
He requested that press and media agencies inside and outside the province increase news, articles, and reports to promote and introduce the content of the book and the Contest; organize the posting of documents and materials on the history of the Bac Giang Provincial Party Committee , the province's outstanding achievements... The Provincial Radio and Television Station researches the content of the book, coordinates with the Department of Culture, Sports and Tourism to develop a set of questions to serve the program "Bac Giang - Historical and Cultural Journey".
District Party Committees, Town Party Committees, City Party Committees, and Party Committees directly under the Provincial Party Committee focus on propagating, leading, directing, organizing the publication of the book and responding to the Contest in localities and units to ensure effectiveness and quality; regularly inspect, supervise, and urge during the implementation process . Every year, direct the inclusion of the propaganda content of the book History of the Provincial Party Committee and History of the Local Party Committee in conjunction with the holidays and anniversaries of the province and the country in the propaganda work plan and program of the Party Committee; organize propaganda and education to create extensive political activities, attracting a large number of cadres, Party members, and people to participate.
Provincial Party Secretary Nguyen Van Gau emphasized that 2025 is a year of special importance, the final year to complete the implementation of the goals and tasks of the resolutions of the Party Congresses at all levels and the Resolution of the 19th Provincial Party Congress, term 2020-2025, the 5-year Socio-Economic Development Plan 2021-2025; is a year of many important events of the province as well as the country.
He requested that Party committees at all levels focus on leadership and direction, making each cadre, Party member, and each citizen clearly aware of the situation; promote the spirit of solidarity, innovation, dynamism, and creativity; dare to think, dare to do, act decisively, strive to successfully carry out the political tasks of the province, especially the 15 main target groups and 05 groups of tasks and solutions set out in Resolution No. 381-NQ/TU dated December 6, 2024 of the Provincial Party Committee on leadership tasks in 2025; successfully organize Party congresses at all levels for the 2025-2030 term in the Provincial Party Committee.
