25th Session of the 19th Bac Giang Provincial People's Council: Approved 10 draft Resolutions

On the afternoon of February 19, the People's Council of Bac Giang province, term XIX, 2021-2026, held its 25th session (special session). Comrades: Nguyen Thi Huong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Lam Thi Huong Thanh - Standing Vice Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council; Nghiem Xuan Huong - Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Council chaired the session.

Attending the meeting were comrade Nguyen Viet Oanh - Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; members of the Provincial Party Standing Committee; Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee; Deputy Head of the Provincial National Assembly Delegation; Member of the Provincial People's Committee; representatives of leaders of departments, branches, and representatives of the People's Committees of Lang Giang district, Viet Yen town, and Bac Giang city.

Comrade Nguyen Thi Huong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council delivered the opening speech at the meeting.

Speaking at the opening of the session, Comrade Nguyen Thi Huong - Standing Deputy Secretary of the Provincial Party Committee, Chairwoman of the Provincial People's Council emphasized that the 25th session of the 19th Provincial People's Council took place at a time when Party committees at all levels, authorities, business communities and people of all ethnic groups in the province are focusing on making efforts to implement many positive solutions to overcome difficulties, promote production and business, ensure social security, national defense and security, and strive to exceed the socio-economic development targets set for 2025 and the 2020-2025 term.

With a spirit of urgency and determination, not to interrupt the regular activities of the units , at the meeting, the Provincial People's Council will consider, discuss and resolve important contents in the fields of law, culture - society, economy - budget. The contents contribute to seriously implementing the leadership and direction policies of the Central Government, the Provincial Party Committee, the Provincial Party Committee Standing Committee, successfully implementing the socio-economic development tasks of the province in 2025 and the targets and tasks set forth by the 19th Provincial Party Congress.

In order for the meeting to achieve good results, comrade Nguyen Thi Huong requested the provincial People's Council delegates to uphold the spirit of responsibility, solidarity, concentrate their intelligence, discuss democratically, and contribute their enthusiastic and profound opinions so that the Resolutions of the meeting can be passed with the highest quality.

Provincial People's Council delegates voted to pass the Resolutions at the session.

At the meeting, delegates listened to Vice Chairmen of the Provincial People's Committee: Pham Van Thinh, Phan The Tuan present the reports of the Provincial People's Committee, draft Resolution; representatives of leaders of the Provincial People's Council Committees presented reports on the examination of the reports and draft Resolution.

With high consensus, 100% (67/67) of the Provincial People's Council delegates voted to pass 10 Resolutions on socio-economic development: (1) Resolution on rearranging and streamlining the organizational apparatus of specialized agencies under the Provincial People's Committee; (2) Resolution on assigning additional teacher staff for the 2024-2025 school year; assigning civil servant and public employee staff to agencies and units after rearranging administrative units and streamlining the organizational apparatus; (3) Resolution on renaming a number of villages and residential groups in Lang Giang district and Bac Giang city; (4) Resolution on supplementing the medium-term public investment plan for the 2021-2025 period to support the implementation of the rearrangement of commune-level administrative units for the 2023-2025 period from the central budget reserve in 2024; (5) Resolution on supplementing the 2025 public investment plan to support the implementation of the arrangement of commune-level administrative units in the 2023-2025 period from the central budget reserve in 2024; (6) Resolution on approving the policy of assigning the People's Committee of Bac Giang province as the competent authority to implement the investment project to build Van Ha bridge, connecting Van Ha commune, Viet Yen town, Bac Giang province with Hoa Long ward, Bac Ninh city, Bac Ninh province; (7 ) Resolution on approving the policy of assigning the People's Committee of Bac Ninh province as the competent authority to implement the investment project to build Ha Bac 1 bridge and the connecting road between Bac Ninh province and Bac Giang province; (8 ) Resolution on regulating the authority to decide on approving tasks and budget estimates for the procurement of assets and equipment; Decentralization of authority to decide on approving tasks and budget estimates for renovation, upgrading, expansion, and construction of new construction items in projects invested in construction from regular state budget expenditure sources in Bac Giang province; (9) Resolution on Stipulating a number of policies to attract and support human resource training in Bac Giang province, period 2025-2030; (10 ) Resolution on Stipulating the level of social assistance payment costs through service providers in Bac Giang province./.
