Implementing digital transformation in Team activities, local Team Councils and school teams have created and diversified practical digital transformation application models, suitable for the needs of team members and children.
Be creative to learn while playing
At Dat Do Secondary School (Dat Do Town, Long Dat District), over the past 2 years, the digital team activity model has been implemented. Team members not only closely follow the programs and activities of the Team organization in each topic and theme, but also create many diverse forms of implementation.
Ms. Pham Thi Thu Huyen, teacher in charge of the Team of Dat Do Secondary School, said that, following the direction of the Central Team Council and the guidance of the Provincial Team Council, the model of Team number activities was popularized by the school's team members. That is, providing each child with an account and password to access the Team number activities at the branch level. Here, children both learn and play by participating in answering multiple choice questions to learn about the Team organization, reading books about the first 5 team members, participating and transforming into 1 of 5 characters performing communication... thereby giving them experiences, stimulating their exploration of the Team's history, helping them remember knowledge about the Team organization more easily.
Mai Thi Hong Ly, a student at Dat Do Secondary School, shared: “Since the school's Union implemented this model, in my free time, my friends and I go to the school's computer room to access the documents of the Union's activities and answer questions together to see who has the most correct answers.
At home, I can also access it to transform into characters and show off my achievements to my parents. I gain more knowledge."
At Cao Van Ngoc Primary School (Long Dat District), to meet the need to follow and read the Team newspaper, instead of buying the Young Pioneer and Children Newspapers and bringing them to the Team office to disseminate to students. In the 2023-2024 school year, the school's team has implemented a model of reading and following the Team newspaper on a digital platform.
Accordingly, the school's team built the application in the form of a link on the Zalo application platform. After students access the link, the homepage opens with sections such as: Handbook for children, I love history, collection corner, entertainment corner... From here, students can freely explore the world of team members in various fields.
The digital platform has also been applied by the Nguyen An Ninh Secondary School (Vung Tau City) to create mini game shows for students to play during the 15-minute review period before class. The model has created excitement, joy, and reduced stress for students when coming to class for over a year.
Inspire love of Team activities
Starting from 2021, in addition to the programs and applications launched by the Central Council of Young Pioneers, the whole province has recorded about 150 models and creative activities applying digital transformation being implemented in the teams of primary and secondary schools.
The highlight of the models is not only the creativity, bringing the documents of activities and knowledge of the Pioneer Team closer to the children but also integrating the interests and creativity of the children.
“Studying newspapers can only be read at school and it is difficult to ensure the number of newspapers for all students. When reading on a digital platform, students only need a smartphone, tablet or go to the school's computer room to access the Team newspaper and knowledge about the Ho Chi Minh Young Pioneers. Creating an application not only meets the students' need to learn knowledge but also makes digital transformation more familiar and practical in each Team activity,” said Ms. Nguyen Thi Cam Nhung, teacher in charge of the Team at Cao Van Ngoc Primary School.
Mr. Thoi Dai Viet, Chairman of the Provincial Youth Union Council, commented that every year, the training and sharing of good models and effective methods in digital transformation of Team activities are always strengthened and implemented by the Provincial Youth Union Council and all levels. Thereby, the school unions have proactively and creatively exploited the technology, communication and social network platforms to build models and solutions to improve digital capacity for children. In particular, focusing on the goal of helping children learn how to look up and search for learning information, contributing to creating a digital transformation environment in education, training and entertainment for children and team members.
“I appreciate the application of digital transformation in the implementation of Team activities of the Team Council and the school teams. Maximizing the exploitation of digital platforms helps students and team members access broader and deeper knowledge about the Team organization. When knowing the source of information and knowing how to access it correctly, students will have a firm grasp of knowledge about the Team organization, the meaning of traditional days, and about each historical figure... From there, students will love and be attached to the Youth Union-Association-Team organization.”
