Thuy Huong emotionally recounted her similar situation: "When I went to Japan, my grandmother told me to try my best and not to be sad if she died. I had been in Japan for 2 weeks when she passed away."
"At 19 years old, far from home, every time I call home and talk to my grandmother, I can only talk for 2-3 minutes. She is 80 years old this year, she can't talk much but she always says she misses me so much. And that makes me cry. I just regret that I don't have anything in my hand to return to her," Tien Anh shared.
Sharing with Dan Tri reporter, Mr. Nguyen Nhu Nhat (28 years old, from Nghe An), the owner of the viral clip, confided that he followed his mother to live with his grandmother since he was young. Besides his mother, his grandmother was the one who took care of and accompanied Nhat throughout his difficult childhood.

In 2019, after completing 2 years of military service, the young man from Nghe An decided to go to Japan to work. Now, after 5 years in a foreign country, Nhat aims to pay off his family's debt, then save money to build a house, and then return to plan on getting married.
Sharing about his grandmother, Nhat said that his grandmother was not rich but her love for her grandchildren was immense. She always saved and saved to give her grandchildren the best things, and saved whatever was delicious for her grandchildren.
"She is petite and very gentle. I have lived with her since I was little, day and night by her side. When I grew up, I did not want to leave her, but because of life, I had to leave home. In a foreign land, she is the motivation for me to overcome difficulties.
She is 91 years old this year, still very clear-headed. She can still read books. For the past few years, she has confided that her only wish is to have a granddaughter-in-law soon. Last Tet, I brought my girlfriend home to meet my family, she was very happy. Unfortunately, she could not attend my happy day because she unfortunately fell and broke her leg and had to be hospitalized," Nhat said.
After Tet, early March, the young man returned to Japan to continue his work. When he saw his grandson off, his grandmother cried.
"Every time we say goodbye, she cries. Even though she really wants to keep me, she understands and accepts that I will go far away to take care of my future life. I don't know if I will be able to see her again when I return, so I often record clips of her to keep as memories.
Meeting each other through the phone screen, the two of us worried about each other. She cried and said she would try to walk again, try to live long to wait for me to come back. I told her to take care of her health. She is hard of hearing and can't hear much, but she still feels my love, so she cried," Nhat shared.
Talking about his future plans, the young man from Nghe An said he will try to work hard and save up some money to return to his grandmother soon. Nhat hopes that his grandmother will still wait until the day her grandson successfully returns.
