[Photo] Celebrating International Francophonie Day in Hanoi
This is a large-scale sports and cultural event, aiming to unite the community of French speakers, French lovers and runners in Vietnam.
Following the success of the first Francophone Run in 2022, the Francophone University Organization (AUF), the French Embassy in Vietnam and the International Organization of the Francophone (OIF) co-organized the second season of the Francophone Run - Course de la Francophonie in 2024 at Thong Nhat Park - Thien Quang Lake, Hai Ba Trung District, Hanoi City.

With the theme “Ensemble” (Together), the 2024 Francophone Run brings together students, lecturers, business representatives, diplomatic agencies, foreigners and Francophone organizations in Hanoi. Athletes compete in 3 main distances, including 2.5km, 5km and 10km.
At the end of the race, the Organizing Committee awarded a total of 37 prizes, for the male and female champions of each distance, the oldest and youngest athletes of each distance, the earliest registered group and the largest registered group...

On the sidelines of the event, many cultural exchange activities, exhibitions, product displays, camps and art performances in French were also held, attracting the participation of many athletes, tourists and Hanoi residents.
Accordingly, nearly 40 booths of kindergartens, primary schools, high schools and universities teaching French and in French in Hanoi, along with organizations, embassies and French-speaking businesses, participated in the program.

Participants will also learn about study opportunities in French, access internship programs, scholarships, student exchanges, short-term language courses and training programs from French-speaking educational institutions in Hanoi.
Through diverse activities, the Organizing Committee hopes to make the event an annual event to strengthen the solidarity of the French-speaking community in Vietnam.
Through this, the Francophone Run will become a meeting point to encourage and promote health and joy of life for the community in many forms, contributing positively to improving the quality of life, thereby proving that a healthy and happy life is a goal that can be achieved together thanks to the spirit of solidarity and community activities, in line with the event's theme "Ensemble".
