9,000 domestic and international athletes participate in the second season of Techcombank Hanoi Marathon

The second Techcombank Hanoi Marathon will take place on September 15-17, spreading the spirit of "Running for a superior Vietnam".

With the participation of 9,000 domestic and international athletes, the race will continue to become a highlight, a prominent sports and tourism event of the Capital. Not only is it a playground for athletes and 30 famous KOLs, the event is also a sports festival where children from 5 to 14 years old have the opportunity to experience and create their own marks.

All four distances of 42.195km (marathon), 21.1km (half marathon), 10km and 5km are certified by the prestigious Association of International Marathons and Distances (AIMS). Starting from Dong Kinh Nghia Thuc Square, marathon and half marathon runners will have the opportunity to experience 39 unique landmarks of Hanoi such as Hoan Kiem Lake, Ngoc Son Temple, Opera House, Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Long Bien Bridge, Bac Son Monument...

Athletes in all 4 distances will finish at Vinhomes Riverside Long Bien Urban Area – a miniature Venice of Italy. These 39 unique check-in points are also the message that Hanoi wants to promote to tourists and friends from all over the world about a friendly, peaceful and developing destination.

Mr. Pham Xuan Tai, Deputy Director of the Department of Culture and Sports of Hanoi City, shared his pride when the Techcombank Hanoi Marathon continued its journey to spread its mission : “The Techcombank Hanoi Marathon returning to the capital city of Hanoi for the second time is not only a symbol of the solidarity and perseverance of the community, but also an important activity in promoting a healthy and vibrant Hanoi.

The unique running route combining tradition and modernity promises to bring athletes an emotional journey, where they not only experience the joy of running but also appreciate the cultural flow from tradition to modernity of the thousand-year-old capital. In the future, the Department of Culture and Sports of Hanoi will continue to work closely with the Organizing Committee of the race to elevate the event, both in scale and quality, to develop into a representative race of the city, on par with other events in the region .

In particular, the attraction of this year's event is also affirmed through the participation of many professional athletes, high-achieving athletes in the region and the world such as Nguyen Trung Cuong, Nguyen Van Lai, Pham Thi Hong Le, Le Tien Long, Trinh Quoc Luong, Nguyen Thi Thanh Phuc, Hoang Nguyen Thanh, Nguyen Thi Oanh, and international representatives Immaculate Chemutai (Uganda), Koros J Chesire (Kenya), Kipsang Charles Kipkorir (Kenya).

The medals of the 2nd Techcombank Hanoi Marathon are also a notable highlight as they depict iconic images of the capital, connecting the spirit of intersection between tradition, modernity and looking towards the future.

The Finisher shirt is designed with a strong black color exclusively for athletes who complete the Marathon distance, symbolizing the perseverance and extraordinary effort when overcoming challenges, making their mark after the season.

Not stopping there, the significant increase in the number of athletes from businesses and running clubs has demonstrated that the healthy living trend is spreading strongly in the community. The participation of a series of typical business "names" such as Masterise, Vinfast, Vinmec, Shopee, FPT Software, CMC, Eagle Camp, Gear INC, Goshi, Emin and running clubs Happy Feet, QMR... promises to create heat for this year's race.

Right from the first days of the second Techcombank Hanoi Marathon, Techcombank launched 3 unique playlists on the Spotify platform exclusively for runners. Each playlist is designed to suit the athlete's personality and goals, helping to increase inspiration and motivation when training. Specifically, "Let's start" - with a vibrant melody that will help "wake up" the body ready for the challenge at the start; "Increase endurance" - for persistent runners, running further than their set goals; or "Strong acceleration" with energetic music encouraging runners to accelerate when sprinting and reaching the finish line.

Not only is it a playground for professional, semi-professional and amateur athletes, the KIDS RUN race for children from 5 to 14 years old also promises to be an attractive playground. This place will contribute to fostering sportsmanship, training willpower, and nurturing a passion for running for children from an early age.

In addition, diverse sports activities and services from more than 25 exhibition booths in the Marathon Village area promise to bring athletes and families a vibrant sports festival so that everyone coming to the event will find a reason to run, a motivation to break through their own limits and constantly strive for a spirit of "Be greater - excel every day".
