(NADS) - On the morning of January 4, in Hanoi, the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations (VLA) held the 2023 VLA Awards ceremony.
Attending the award ceremony were: Comrade Tran Thanh Lam, Deputy Head of the Central Propaganda Department; Comrade Ta Quang Dong, Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism; Comrade Bui The Duc, Vice Chairman of the Central Council for Theory and Criticism of Literature and Arts;
On the side of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, there were Associate Professor, Doctor, Musician Do Hong Quan, Secretary of the Party Committee, President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations; Dr. Doan Thanh No, Permanent Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations; People's Artist Vuong Duy Bien, Full-time Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations; National Artist Tran Thi Thu Dong, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, President of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists; People's Artist Trinh Thuy Mui, Vice President of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, President of the Vietnam Association of Stage Artists; Presidents of Central Specialized Literature and Arts Associations...
In his concluding remarks, Associate Professor, Doctor, musician Do Hong Quan, Chairman of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations, affirmed that the Literature and Arts Award of the Vietnam Union of Literature and Arts Associations is an annual award, which has now completed 30 seasons, and is increasingly expanding in scale, gathering the participation of a large number of artists and writers across the country. The award council selects works with the best quality in terms of content and art, while still ensuring and respecting the nature of gathering teams, discovering and nurturing young people through each award ceremony.
In 2023, 58/63 provincial and municipal Literature and Arts Associations submitted works with 372 works by authors and groups of authors. As a result, 60 works won prizes (4 A prizes, 14 B prizes, 19 C prizes, 18 Encouragement prizes and 5 prizes for young authors), distributed in the following majors: Literature (22 works); Theater (2 works); Fine Arts (10 works); Music (9 works); Cinema (3 works); Photography (9 works); Dance (1 work); Folklore (4 works).
The awards for outstanding works introduced by central specialized literary and artistic associations include 9 works from 9 associations (the Vietnam Stage Artists Association has not yet considered the award in 2023, so it is not introduced).
The Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists has proposed to the Judging Council the work: "Golden Seeds" sowing joy by Author: Nguyen Hien Thanh (Hau Giang). This work has won the Gold Medal of the 2023 Outstanding Photography Award of the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists and has been approved and decided to award by the Council.
