Broken rice
The highest-scoring of the three Vietnamese dishes is broken rice with a rating of 4.5/5 stars, ranking 11th on the entire list.
According to Taste Atlas, the special feature of this dish is the broken rice grains. When cooked, this type of rice will create a fluffy, spongy feeling. When eating, a portion of rice cannot lack side dishes such as fried eggs, pork skin, grilled ribs, etc.
In addition, side dishes such as pickles, cucumbers, tomatoes, scallion oil, etc. are indispensable elements.
They both paint a harmonious picture of color on the plate and work together to create a unique flavor.
Fish sauce is an indispensable element of broken rice. This is the flavor that gives life to the rice dish.
With Saigon broken rice, users will easily find bowls of fish sauce with a rich sweet taste, not too thick.
As for Long Xuyen broken rice, diners will feel a slightly saltier taste and the fish sauce has a certain viscosity.
One thing that foreign diners love is that they can easily find rice carts appearing along every street in Vietnam.
The image of a piece of red, fragrant meat lying on a smoky grill has also become a "classic" when preparing broken rice.
Banh beo
This rustic dish gets 4.1/5 stars.
This Hue dish has long been associated with the image of women pushing carts around or sitting somewhere on a street corner.

Banh beo is made from steamed rice flour. A plate of authentic Vietnamese banh beo cannot lack additional ingredients such as minced shrimp, pork, fried onions, pork rinds, fried bread, etc.
Initially, Vietnamese people were familiar with two versions: Hue banh beo and Quang Nam banh beo.
In Quang Nam, this dish is made with thick, large cakes and is often eaten with a soft dough, including meat, minced shrimp, chives, etc.
Meanwhile, Hue banh beo is thinner and smaller. The main distinguishing feature is dried shrimp powder, sometimes with crispy fried pork skin. Later, the dish also developed a Southern version of banh beo.
Taste Atlas points out that the highlight of Vietnamese banh beo is the indentation in the middle of the cake, used to hold different fillings to bring out different flavors.
Banh tet
With the same 4.1/5 star rating as banh beo, Vietnamese banh tet ranks last on the list.

Banh tet
This sticky rice cake is a traditional specialty of Southern Vietnam.
When making banh tet, bakers often stuff it with mung beans, pork and eggs, and finally wrap all the ingredients in banana leaves before cooking.
Besides the traditional version, vegetarian banh tet was born to serve people who do not eat meat on some meaningful occasions.
The cake now mainly consists of mung bean filling, but does not lose its inherent delicious taste.
One thing that foreign diners love is that banana leaves give the cake a unique aroma and flavor.
Banh tet seems indispensable in some special festivals of Vietnamese people.
Number 1 best rice dish in the world is Japan
The first place is sushi, a symbol of Japanese culinary culture. The ingredients include seaweed rolled around white rice and fillings made from many different ingredients.

Coming in third is Arroz con bogavante. The dish originated in Valencia and has become a staple of Spanish cuisine.
Lobster, braised fish, white wine, olive oil… are stir-fried ingredients to create the dish's signature broth.
