The list was announced by a famous culinary website on September 17. Ranked at number 12, chicken pho is introduced as "one of the traditional dishes of Vietnam".

Chicken pho broth is usually lighter and clearer than beef pho broth. Other ingredients used to make this dish include ginger, fish sauce, shallots, green onions, coriander, kaffir lime leaves, and pho noodles.

Many believe that this pho dish appeared around the 1930s, when the supply of beef in Northern Vietnam was limited.

Ranked at number 23, banh troi nuoc (sweet rice dumplings) impresses diners with its sweet, aromatic flavor of the dessert made with palm sugar and ginger. Adding to the dish are soft, chewy banh troi balls with a smooth mung bean filling.
