In addition to athletes, the tournament also attracts provincial leaders, departments, localities, businesses, students, armed forces, journalists, people... to join the run.
According to the Organizing Committee, this year the race has many big changes. The biggest change is that the Organizing Committee will sell BIBs for the 21km and 10km half marathons.
Regarding the running route, all competition distances are concentrated on the coastal route Tran Phu - Quang Trung - Ha Long - Thuy Van.
Children are excited to participate in the race.
The total prize money for the 24th season is up to 300 million VND, an increase of nearly 40% compared to last year (first prize is 20 million VND). This is one of the long-distance races with the highest prize in Vietnam.
"This year we are more prepared to take care of the athletes. In addition, the organizing committee also buys insurance for the athletes to ensure all the athletes' rights when participating in the tournament.
In addition to improving health, the organizers also hope that the locality will welcome a large number of tourists during this cross-country race," Ms. Dung emphasized.
According to the organizers, the highlight that makes the Ba Ria - Vung Tau Newspaper Cross Country Race brand is the coastal running route, where athletes will be able to explore the beauty of the coastal city of Vung Tau at dawn.
It is known that the 10km and 21km distances will start at 4:30 and 4:45 on August 26 at the Revolutionary Traditional House of Vung Tau City. The 3km and 5km distances will start later.
