In 11 months, Nam Dinh's industrial production index increased by 14.8%

The Nam Dinh Provincial Statistics Office has just announced that the province's industrial production in November 2024 maintained a positive growth momentum, up 18.13% over the same period last year. In the first 11 months of 2024, the industrial production index increased by 14.80% over the same period last year; of which, the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 14.90%.

Specifically, the industrial production index in November 2024 increased by 18.13%; of which, the mining industry decreased by 44.07%; the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 18.28%; electricity and gas production and distribution increased by 4.01%; water supply, waste and wastewater treatment increased by 25.6%.

In the first 11 months of 2024, Nam Dinh province's industrial production index increased by 14.80% over the same period last year. Of which, the processing and manufacturing industry increased by 14.90%, contributing 14.51 percentage points to the overall increase; the electricity, gas, hot water, steam and air conditioning production and distribution industry increased by 3.92%, contributing 0.09 percentage points; the water supply, waste and wastewater management and treatment industry increased by 22.33%, contributing 0.32 percentage points; the mining industry decreased by 34.11%, decreasing by 0.12 percentage points.

Some secondary industries had an industrial production index in the first 11 months of 2024 that increased compared to the same period last year: Production of drugs, pharmaceutical chemicals and medicinal materials increased by 20.08%; food production and processing increased by 19.35%; garment production increased by 18.59%; leather and related products production increased by 17.42%; production of products from prefabricated metal (except machinery and equipment) increased by 16.91%; metal production increased by 12.51%; textiles increased by 6.04%.

Some industries have a decrease in production index: Paper and paper products production decreased by 12.58%; beverage production decreased by 11.43%; other means of transport production decreased by 6.03%.

Regarding products, some products in the 11 months of 2024 of the province had increased volume compared to the same period last year such as: Iron and steel doors and windows increased by 22.65%; ready-made clothes increased by 19.17%; wooden tables and chairs of all kinds increased by 18.06%; shoes and sandals increased by 16.00%; fabrics of all kinds increased by 10.94%.

On the contrary, some products had a decrease in volume such as: Sea salt decreased by 27.21%; various fibers decreased by 7.03%; paper packaging and bags decreased by 4.90%; toys decreased by 3.11%; white wine with alcohol content of 25 degrees or more decreased by 1.46%.

Also according to the Nam Dinh Statistics Office, the labor utilization index of industrial production enterprises in November 2024 in the province increased by 1.36% compared to the previous month. In the 11 months, this index increased by 2.51% compared to the same period last year; of which, state-owned enterprises decreased by 15.14%, non-state enterprises increased by 0.55% and foreign-invested enterprises increased by 5.65%.
