The 2023 sports medicine knowledge training course aims to update information and regulations in medical work, improve the quality of health management for athletes in general and players in particular.
Mr. Le Quy Phuong, Head of VFF Medical Department, believes: "Regarding the role of medical staff at clubs and football teams, we understand that many clubs still face difficulties when coaches have to concurrently act as doctors and medical staff of the team. Hopefully, through this class, we will gain more knowledge as well as the important role of medical staff at clubs and football teams.
Clubs and teams will raise awareness of the importance of medical work in sports as well as in football and update information on regulations in medical work, sports medicine to improve the quality of athlete health management. All related professional issues will be directly shared by experienced members of the VFF sports medicine committee and specialists from Vinmec International General Hospital.

VFF General Secretary Duong Nghiep Khoi emphasized: "VFF hopes that the trainees will accurately assess the important role of medical staff at clubs, support knowledge on injury prevention and treatment for players, recognize the position of medical work in football; improve the health and fitness of players and athletes".
The 2023 Sports Medicine Knowledge Training Course will take place over two days (June 26 and 27) at VFF. During the two days, students will focus on the following topics: health check-up of professional football players; emergency cardiac arrest during training and competition; assessment, monitoring and treatment of traumatic brain injuries during training; rehydration and electrolyte replacement during training and competition; musculoskeletal injuries and treatment; diagnosis, treatment and recovery after ACL injuries; assessment of players' physical recovery stages; physical therapy treatment for mild and moderate musculoskeletal injuries...
