The Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Lieu province has just signed a decision to administratively sanction the owner of a facility that sells fake English books.
On November 5, according to information from the Office of the People's Committee of Bac Lieu province, Mr. Pham Van Thieu, Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Lieu province, has just signed a decision to administratively fine Mr. Tran Ngoc Tuyen (58 years old, working as a book seller in Cho Moi, in Hamlet 2, Ho Phong Ward, Gia Rai Town) with the amount of 7.5 million VND.
The interdisciplinary inspection team on anti-piracy of Bac Lieu province inspected the bookstore owned by Mr. Tran Ngoc Tuyen.

Mr. Tuyen committed an administrative violation of trading in counterfeit goods in cases where the counterfeit goods were equivalent to the quantity of genuine goods with a value of more than 6.1 million VND.
In addition to administrative sanctions, the Chairman of the People's Committee of Bac Lieu province also forced the destruction of 140 English books in violation of the provisions of Point a, Clause 4, Article 11, Decree No. 98, dated August 26, 2020 of the Government.
Previously, in early September, the interdisciplinary inspection team on anti-piracy of Bac Lieu province inspected the bookstore owned by Mr. Tran Ngoc Tuyen and discovered 140 English books with signs of counterfeiting. Specifically, there were no invoices, documents, and the content had not been censored... so they made a record and temporarily detained all the books for further verification and clarification.
On November 5, the interdisciplinary inspection team on anti-piracy of Bac Lieu province destroyed all of the above-mentioned violating English books.
