BTO-Vice Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee Nguyen Hong Hai signed and issued an urgent dispatch with instructions from the Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee on overcoming damage caused by sand overflow and landslides in Mui Ne ward.
The Chairman of the Provincial People's Committee directed the Department of Construction to preside over and coordinate with the People's Committee of Phan Thiet City to request Saigon Investment Company Limited (investor of SentosaVilla project) to urgently mobilize human resources and equipment to overcome the consequences of the flood that caused landslides in the early morning of May 21, 2024. At the same time, take long-term and effective measures to prevent landslides, arrange equipment and human resources during the rainy season to promptly handle landslides to ensure the safety of traffic works, lives and property of people in the area below the hill.

Focus on inspecting, urging and supervising the overcoming of consequences of floods causing landslides and measures to prevent and respond to landslide incidents of the investor of Sentosa Villa project.
During the implementation process, if the investor of the Sentosa Villa project is slow to fix, does not fully comply with, violates legal regulations, and causes landslides, it will be strictly handled according to regulations.

Earlier, in the early morning of May 21, heavy rains led to mudslides at the Sentosa Villa project in Mui Ne ward, invested by Saigon Investment Company Limited, causing traffic jams and property damage, posing a major risk to people's lives. Through inspection, the Department of Construction concluded that the Sentosa project investment and construction process did not comply with regulations on natural disaster prevention.
