On December 12, in Hanoi , Nhan Dan Newspaper and Coteccons Construction Joint Stock Company (CTD) officially launched the Tet 2025 Construction program with the theme "Building the foundation of dreams".

The program will start from December 16, 2024 to January 2025 at construction sites in 3 regions of the country, in which key activities take place in Hung Yen province, Da Nang city, Ho Chi Minh city, Binh Duong province...
The organizers will present more than 18,500 Tet gifts to construction workers and environmental sanitation workers, many of whom are from localities affected by severe storms and floods in the past year.
In addition to giving Tet gifts, the program also takes care of workers' health and spirit such as free health check-ups, souvenir photos, haircuts for construction workers at key projects...

In addition, the program will coordinate with the Saigon Economic Times Foundation to give many gifts to students who are children of workers at the construction site to nurture the dreams of young people in difficult circumstances, encouraging them to continue their education.
According to Mr. Le Quoc Minh - member of the Party Central Committee, editor-in-chief of Nhan Dan Newspaper, deputy head of the Central Propaganda Department, chairman of the Vietnam Journalists Association, Nhan Dan Newspaper's cooperation with Coteccons to implement the Tet 2025 program aims to bring a warm and joyful Tet to workers.

"This year, we have expanded the criteria for scholarships for students with good academic performance to continue to encourage them to continue to strive harder in the future," Ms. Trang said.
Ms. Trang emphasized that in addition to the Tet gifts given to workers, the greater value that the program wants to spread is the spiritual value, inspiring learning efforts for workers' children through scholarships.

According to the General Statistics Office, the number of people working in the industrial and construction sector is 17 million, accounting for 33.0%. The average income of workers is about 7.6 million VND/month in the third quarter of 2024. On average, each worker works 8-12 hours/day and 6-7 days/week. Construction workers and sanitation workers are also the groups that receive the least attention in society.
Ms. Nguyen Trinh Thuy Trang said that at Coteccons and Unicons, the average income of workers is at least 12 million VND/month. With the view that "a happy construction site is a safe construction site", last year the company spent more than 26,000 hours training safety skills for more than 30,000 workers. Thanks to that, the company has more than 41.6 million hours of safe construction. At the same time, Coteccons also focuses on investing in advanced technology and techniques to support construction workers to complete their work effectively, minimizing risks related to labor safety.

Mr. Phan Van Anh said that this unit has issued a program to care for Tet with many activities, in which Party and State leaders will visit and give gifts to workers in remote and disadvantaged areas with an expected number of gifts of more than 30,000 (1 million VND in cash and gifts worth 300,000 VND).
In addition, units will organize trade union Tet markets in places with a large number of workers and laborers to sell discounted goods, creating a festival for workers. The General Confederation will issue vouchers to 200,000 workers and laborers at the rate of 500,000 VND/voucher.
Mr. Van Anh said the union also has a program to visit and encourage union members and workers for about 1 million people with a cash award of 700,000 VND and gifts worth 300,000 VND.
