TPO - At the 8th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Thua Thien-Hue Province (TT-Hue), term 2024-2029, Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy - Permanent Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, assessed that this is a leading unit in activities to accompany and support young people in starting and establishing businesses, especially young people in rural areas, ethnic minority and mountainous areas.

On September 19, the 8th Congress of the Vietnam Youth Union of Thua Thien Hue Province, term 2024 - 2029, took place solemnly with the participation of Mr. Ngo Van Cuong - Secretary of the Central Youth Union, Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy - Permanent Vice President of the Central Youth Union, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue Province; along with 250 official delegates, representing more than 234,420 young people in the province. Accompanying and supporting young people to start a business and establish a career Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoai - Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of Thua Thien Hue province, said that in the past term, the youth of Thua Thien Hue province always made efforts, strived, took the initiative, and volunteered to effectively implement movements, concretizing the policies of the Union to members and young people. The congress was attended by 250 official delegates, representing more than 234,420 young people in the whole Thua Thien Hue province.

The Association has coordinated with the Provincial Youth Union of Thua Thien Hue Province to effectively implement the project of Youth of Thua Thien Hue joining hands to build new rural areas and civilized urban lifestyle, period 2018 - 2022; the national target program for socio-economic development in ethnic minority and mountainous areas... The Association's chapters at all levels organized more than 2,125 activities to build rural infrastructure, carry out 17,502 specific works and tasks of practical significance, with a total cost of more than 21.5 billion VND. In addition, it has implemented more than 22,677 creative ideas proposed by members and young people; supported 45 start-up projects; provided career counseling and guidance to 120,000 students, of whom 15,500 young people have stable jobs; more than 1,800 youth works and tasks... The Association's chapters at all levels built 99 charity houses; organized 145 medical examinations and provided free medicine to 72,000 people; lit up more than 35.7km of rural roads, dredged over 150km of intra-field canals..., with a total implementation cost of nearly 35.1 billion VND.

Speaking at the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy - Permanent Vice President of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Youth Union, highly appreciated the effectiveness of the movement "I love my Fatherland" which was comprehensively implemented by the youth of Thua Thien Hue. Especially, it oriented and educated the youth about the revolutionary tradition of Thua Thien Hue, aroused patriotism and pride in the homeland of General Nguyen Chi Thanh through the launching of youth works.

The Vietnam Youth Union of Thua Thien Hue province has achieved outstanding results in the work of the Association and the national youth movement for many consecutive years; actively contributing with the Party Committee, government and people of the province to realize the goal of building Thua Thien Hue on par with the potential and fine traditions of the culture, land and people here,” said Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy.

Continuously contributing In the new term, Mr. Nguyen Kim Quy suggested that the Vietnam Youth Union of Thua Thien Hue province continue to effectively implement the movement I love my Fatherland; build a generation of young people in Thua Thien Hue with patriotism, bravery, cultural lifestyle, awareness of law compliance, pride in the cultural traditions and culture of the historic ancient capital of Hue; continue to innovate the content and methods of operation of the Association, focusing on strongly applying digital transformation throughout the Association; pay attention to promoting the spirit of entrepreneurship, entrepreneurial aspirations, and creativity among members and young people in the whole province; focus on gathering, uniting and developing new members in schools, in residential areas, and among young workers; improve the operational efficiency of Association organizations in non-state enterprises, new urban areas, apartment buildings, etc.

Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province, asked young people to continue participating in building Thua Thien Hue into a centrally-governed city.

At the Congress, Mr. Nguyen Thanh Binh - Permanent Vice Chairman of the People's Committee of Thua Thien Hue province, requested that the local Youth Union chapters continue to closely follow and effectively implement the guidelines and policies of the Party and State, the leadership and direction of the Central Youth Union, the Central Vietnam Youth Union, the Provincial Party Committee, and the Provincial People's Committee on youth work associated with the implementation of the Association's tasks in the new situation; continue to actively participate in the successful implementation of Resolution 54 of the Politburo on building Thua Thien Hue into a centrally-run city...

The Congress elected 43 members to join the Vietnam Youth Union Committee of TT-Hue province, term VIII. Mr. Nguyen Thanh Hoai - Member of the Central Committee of the Youth Union, Secretary of the Provincial Youth Union, was re-elected as Chairman of the Vietnam Youth Union of TT-Hue province. The 5 Vice Chairmen include Mr. Tran Dai Hiep, Mr. Tran Duc Minh, Mr. Pham Nhu Hien, Mr. Duong Viet Tien Huy, and Mr. Le Chi Hung Cuong.
