To prepare for the 2025 U.20 Asian qualifiers, the U.20 Vietnam team gathered on August 15 at the Vietnam Youth Football Training Center, then trained in Japan from August 23 to September 1. However, the team's professional plan did not go smoothly due to unavoidable difficulties. Specifically, during the training session in Japan, the team was forced to cancel the final friendly match due to the impact of typhoon Shanshan. After finishing the training session and returning home, the training program of coach Hua Hien Vinh and his team was again affected by super typhoon Yagi (typhoon No. 3). U.20 Vietnam was only able to play 1 friendly match with the U.20 Russia team, instead of 2 matches as originally planned.
However, the entire U.20 Vietnam team has strived to overcome difficulties, maintaining a high training spirit to best prepare for the 2025 U.20 Asian qualifiers. "The coaching staff is forced to make changes to the training plan, in the context of the impact of storms. However, the goal of U.20 Vietnam remains unchanged. The whole team will try to achieve the best results in each match, striving to win a direct ticket to the 2025 U.20 Asian Cup," Head Coach Hua Hien Vinh affirmed.
