After this achievement, Quang Huy was awarded 140 million VND from the state and the Vietnam Sports Delegation was awarded 400 million VND.
In addition, the Vietnam Shooting Federation awarded 100 million VND, the Vietnam Olympic Committee awarded 200 million VND, and the Hanoi National Sports Training Center awarded 200 million VND (100 million VND for athletes and 100 million VND for coaches).
Thus, shooter Pham Quang Huy was awarded up to 940 million VND after winning the 19th ASIAD gold medal.
In addition, on the morning of September 28, the 1996-born shooter also won a bronze medal in the men's 10m air pistol team event and was awarded 55 million VND.
Sharing after winning the 19th ASIAD gold medal, Quang Huy said: “My feelings right now are hard to describe. I am very happy but still very nervous because I just finished shooting.
My parents were former shooters, so I was exposed to shooting from a young age. I really want to one day achieve the same results as my parents.”
Besides, Quang Huy also affirmed that having coach Hoang Xuan Vinh behind him to support him helps him be more confident in his shooting series.
“When I have coach Hoang Xuan Vinh behind me, I feel very secure. I just focus completely on technique, without thinking about anything else,” Quang Huy said.
