Son Ninh is the first locality in Huong Son district (Ha Tinh) to bring in motorized rice transplanters for testing in preparation for the upcoming 2024 spring crop.
The motorized transplanter was first tested on the land of Son Ninh commune.
After completing the implementation of land consolidation and conversion of 16 hectares in Bau Sen area, Ninh Xa village, Son Ninh Commune People's Committee demonstrated the motorized rice transplanter on a large field. This is one of the two communes (along with An Hoa Thinh) that completed the land consolidation and conversion area in 2023 the earliest in Huong Son district and is the first commune to bring the motorized rice transplanter to experiment to prepare conditions for the upcoming spring crop production in 2024.
It is known that previously, Son Ninh commune organized a working group to Thai Binh province to learn from experience, consult and order 2 rice transplanters at a price of 17 million VND/unit (from the commune budget) at Van Lang production facility, Lo Giang commune, Dong Hung district, Thai Binh province.
Compact machine, only 1 person can operate.
Van Lang rice transplanter is equipped with an engine with superior features to replace the labor of farmers. Each turn, the machine will transplant 6 rows of seedlings, on average each day 1 machine can transplant 2.5 - 3 hectares.
Along with the experiment of the transplanter, the technical staff also presented and guided farmers through the process of preparing the soil for sowing rice seedlings in trays.
Using motorized transplanters in agricultural production not only increases the rate of mechanization, reduces time and effort for farmers, but also increases the quality of planting, ensures high survival rate, quick rooting, and brings bumper crops.

Since early September 2023, the commune has embarked on the conversion and consolidation of land. To date, 100% of the registered area has been completed after nearly 2 months with a total cost of up to 800 million VND.
In addition to the 2 new rice transplanters invested from the commune budget, we also mobilized people in 9 villages to strive that from now until the end of the year, each village will have 1 Van Lang rice transplanter to reduce labor and increase economic efficiency.
