On November 30, the Department of Science and Technology of Thua Thien Hue province organized a Forum to promote innovative start-up activities in the field of medicinal herbs in Thua Thien Hue province.
The report at the forum said that currently in Thua Thien Hue province, there are many precious medicinal plants, such as Melaleuca, Pogostemon cajuputi, white basil, purple basil... Bach Ma National Park alone has identified 112 medicinal plant species belonging to 58 different plant families, not to mention some species that local people often use to treat diseases according to traditional experience.

Mr. Ho Thang, Director of the Department of Science and Technology of Thua Thien Hue province, said that the locality has implemented 17 scientific and technological tasks on medicinal herbs, including: 2 projects under the rural mountainous program, 2 projects under the intellectual property development program, 12 provincial-level scientific and technological tasks, and 1 task sponsored by the Science and Technology Development Fund.
The forum promotes innovative start-up activities in the field of medicinal herbs in Thua Thien Hue province to discuss and evaluate the potential and opportunities for innovative start-up from medicinal herbs in the area, in order to find new models and technological solutions, suitable for the development orientation of the medicinal herbs industry in Thua Thien Hue province.
