"Happy Independence Day" experience Bac Ninh culture at the Cultural Village

The public has the opportunity to experience "Bac Ninh cultural and tourism space in the heart of Hanoi" on September 2nd

The activities on the occasion of National Day September 2 will have the participation of nearly 300 artisans, compatriots, artists, and mass actors, including more than 100 compatriots of 16 ethnic groups who are active daily, including village elders, village chiefs, artisans, and ethnic groups: Nung, Tay (Thai Nguyen); Dao (Hanoi); Mong (Ha Giang); Muong (Hoa Binh); Lao, Thai, Kho Mu (Son La); Ta Oi, Co Tu (Thua Thien Hue); Ba Na, Gia Rai (Gia Lai); Xo Dang (Kon Tum), Raglai (Ninh Thuan), E De (Dak Lak), Khmer (Soc Trang); About 70 people from 4 ethnic groups and 2 localities participated in reenacting the festival and activities: 20 Thai people (Son La), 20 Mong people, 30 Tay and Nung people (Thai Nguyen) from August 31 to September 3. Local booths supplemented and enriched the highland market, participating in activities from August 31 to September 3; about 100 artisans, extras... from Bac Ninh province organized the exhibition area "Cultural and tourism space of Bac Ninh province in the heart of Hanoi" from August 31 to September 2, 2024.

Highlight activities on the occasion of the National Day holiday on September 2 " Happy Independence Day " include: Re-enacting the highland market "Colors of the highlands" will recreate the cultural space with the colors of the ethnic groups in the North with the highlight being the cultural space of the highland market with the theme " Highland Market - Happy Independence Day " creating a strong atmosphere of the highland market for tourists to go to the market, including the activities of the Tay, Nung, Mong, Thai ethnic groups going to the market to celebrate Independence Day; folk song and dance programs and enjoying local cuisine, specialties, ethnic culture, traditional folk games performed and introduced by the cultural subjects of the ethnic groups to serve tourists.

Within the framework of the Market, there will be 50 booths in the Highland Market area. Introducing local products, local cultural space , thatched houses introducing traditional cuisine, water stalls serving customers ' needs , introducing traditional cuisine to support part of the culinary needs of tourists visiting the market , space to introduce and display photos of "Colors of the highlands" .

Besides, there are activities to introduce the art of panpipe dance of Mong ethnic group, Thai Nguyen province ; performance of pounding sticky rice cake of Mong ethnic group, Thai Nguyen province and folk song and dance program "Happy Independence Day" with performances celebrating the country, praising the homeland, national identity and traditional folk games creating a joyful, excited, warm atmosphere, imbued with the traditions of ethnic groups, showing the uniqueness in the diversity of ethnic culture to celebrate National Day September 2.

Traditional festivals are also recreated such as the coming-of-age ceremony of the Nung ethnic group in Thai Nguyen province and the hair-washing ceremony of the Thai ethnic group in Son La province.

On this occasion, the Local Cultural Festival introducing " Bac Ninh Cultural and Tourism Space in the Heart of Hanoi" will bring to the public the experience of the folk game "Tug of War in Huu Chap Village" - Multinational Intangible Cultural Heritage; Dong Ngu Water Puppetry art and display and introduce Dong Ky original artifacts ; Program to introduce the Representative Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity - Bac Ninh Quan Ho Folk Songs and display and introduce the architecture, images of Quan Ho villages, typical products, experience traditional handicrafts./ .
