On October 20, Thanh Hoa province authorities are clarifying the case of Ms. VTT, a teacher at Ba Dinh Primary School, Ba Dinh Ward, Bim Son Town, Thanh Hoa Province, who "physically impacted" student N., causing a broken ear and bruised back.
Speaking to Dan Tri reporter, Ms. Pham Thi Thu Hoa, Master of Psychology, Department of Educational Psychology, Hong Duc University (Thanh Hoa), said that after following the incident, she determined that teacher T.'s actions towards the students were school violence.

According to Ms. Hoa, school violence is the act of beating, mistreating, violating the body and health; insulting the honor and dignity, causing physical and mental harm to students that occurs in educational institutions or independent classes.
School violence occurs not only between students, but also between teachers and students. Depending on the severity of the violation, the authorities will impose specific penalties.
"After being abused, children are psychologically affected and mentally traumatized. However, the extent of the impact cannot be controlled by anyone and is very difficult to heal," said Ms. Hoa.
Master Hoa said that the act of twisting the ears and hitting the back and head of students will cause them to be haunted, affecting their psychology and behavior.
"Every time they think about it, they worry, are afraid to share, live in a "frame" of fear, even suffer from anxiety and depression, which leads to personality disorders. Teachers beating children also affects the psychology of parents and society," Ms. Hoa analyzed.

According to Ms. Hoa, the incident that happened at Ba Dinh Primary School partly lies with the school's board of directors, due to lax management. The reason Ms. T. "physically impacted" student N. may have been due to work and life pressure leading to psychological exhaustion and loss of emotional control.
Ms. Hoa believes that teachers have the mission of "cultivating people", teaching students both capacity and character. Therefore, in any case, we should not use pressure as an excuse to choose violence to solve the problem.
"Children who are victims or witnesses of violence may grow up to become perpetrators of violence," Ms. Hoa shared.
According to Ms. Hoa, to prevent violence, the government needs to have stricter sanctions. In addition, teachers should learn how to control their emotions and relieve pressure and stress. Schools and families should control and monitor students and teachers and teach children how to prevent and combat violence.

Previously, Dan Tri newspaper reported that on October 10, during math class, Ms. T. discovered N. using a toy. Unable to control her emotions, Ms. T. twisted N.'s ear and patted her back and head, causing N. to be injured.
After the incident, the school reported to the Department of Education and Training of Bim Son town.
On the afternoon of October 15, Bim Son Town Police had a working session with the school's board of directors.
Extracting the surveillance camera at the school, it was discovered that Ms. T. not only beat N., but also committed violent acts against many students in class 1B.
According to the leader of Ba Dinh Primary School, this is not the first time Ms. T. has "physically impacted" a student. In the 2023-2024 school year, this teacher used a ruler to hit a student, causing a bruise on his arm.
