The Chief of Office of the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Education and Training said that regarding this incident, the Department has requested the Department of Education and Training of Tan Binh District to report and request this department to coordinate with the school principal to strictly handle and discipline the violating teacher with disciplinary measures within the framework of education officials.
Mr. Ho Tan Minh said that the incident took place on October 4. The principal received the case, temporarily suspended the teacher, and transferred the student to a different class to ensure the student's mental health... Today (October 12), the school also established a disciplinary council to evaluate and consider disciplining the above teacher.

Previously, at noon on October 12, sending a press release about the incident of teacher NTS beating a student and breaking her finger, Ms. Nguyen Thi Cam Thanh Tra, Principal of Nguyen Van Troi Primary School, Tan Binh District, Ho Chi Minh City, said that on October 4, 2023, during the teaching process, the teacher had inappropriate behavior causing injury to the student (the medical certificate from the clinic determined a fracture at the base of the phalangeal bone near the right 4th finger due to trauma).
After learning about the incident, the principal, the organizations and the teacher visited the student's house to inquire about her health and took responsibility for the unfortunate incident. Ms. NTS has been suspended from work.
