Expanding the investigation into the case of Phan Cong Khanh and his accomplices committing fraud and abusing trust to appropriate property, Ho Chi Minh City Police arrested Huynh Xuan Van, Deputy Director of K-Supper Trading and Service Company Limited.
On February 9 (ie 30th of Tet), the Criminal Police Department (PC02), Ho Chi Minh City Police Department prosecuted and executed an arrest warrant to temporarily detain Huynh Xuan Van (born in 1987, residing in Binh Chanh District) for the crime of "Fraudulent appropriation of property". The above decisions were approved by the Ho Chi Minh City People's Procuracy.
According to PC02, when continuing to expand the investigation of the case of "Fraudulent appropriation of property" and "Abuse of trust to appropriate property" carried out by Phan Cong Khanh and his accomplices, it was determined that in 2019, Phan Cong Khanh and Huynh Xuan Van established K-Supper Trading and Service Company Limited, each contributing 50% of the capital.
In which, Khanh is the Director, legal representative; Van is the Deputy Director, shareholder.
In June 2023, Khanh contacted and borrowed from Mr. LHP (born in 1992, residing in Kien Giang province) 2 cars, McLaren and Mercedes G800 Brabus, to display on the opening day of Khanh's showroom on June 8, 2023.
Because they knew each other before and both cars were bought from Khanh, Mr. P. trusted him and agreed to lend the cars to Khanh. When lending the cars to Khanh, the original vehicle registration papers were on both cars.
Due to needing money to pay off debt, Khanh and Van discussed and agreed to sell Mr. P's car to get money to pay off debt. By fraudulent means about car ownership, Van contacted and signed a car sale contract for 24.5 billion VND on June 13, 2023.
After the car loan period expired, Mr. P. repeatedly contacted Khanh to get back the two cars, but Khanh did not return them; on June 30, 2023, Khanh returned the McLaren to Mr. P. Through the media, Mr. P. learned that Khanh and his accomplices were arrested and prosecuted for fraud and property appropriation, so he filed a complaint with the police.
