Must ensure absolute safety for the club when V-League is temporarily suspended
Vietnam Professional Football Joint Stock Company (VPF) announced: "After the end of the 8th round of V-League 2023 - 2024, the clubs will temporarily stop competing from December 28, 2023 to February 17, 2024. The season is temporarily suspended to serve the national team's training session to compete in the 2023 Asian Cup Finals.
Clubs proactively develop plans and strategies to focus on maintaining a training regime suitable to practical conditions, ensuring the best performance for players when the rounds of the 2023-2024 season resume from round 9 on February 17, 2024. Strengthen personnel management, remind and thoroughly educate players and all club members to maintain training, ensuring absolute safety during the Lunar New Year holiday."
Chance for underperforming teams to bounce back
The nearly 2-month break is considered a valuable opportunity for clubs that have had poor results since the beginning of the season such as The Cong Viettel, Hanoi Club, Hanoi Police and especially HAGL to regain their spirit, make professional adjustments to come back stronger in the next stage. Coach Kiatisak once affirmed that HAGL still has a lot of work to do: "The young players understand the tactics, but when operating on the field, they are still confused. Fortunately, HAGL will have a break in the near future to continue to consolidate. We will actively practice so that the players become sharper."
Coach Kiatisak (left) declared that he will not give up and follow Mr. Duc's arrangement.
In the final round (round 8) before the 2023 - 2024 V-League took a break, HAGL surprisingly won against Hanoi FC with a score of 2-0. This was the first victory of the Pleiku home team since the beginning of the season. Just a few days after Technical Director (GDKT) Vu Tien Thanh participated in the professional work of the first team, HAGL immediately showed an improvement in both the playing style and the spirit of the players. Against Hanoi FC, the mountain town team approached the match reasonably, with a sharp playing style with dangerous counterattacks often created and the defensive weakness was significantly improved.
At this time, fans of the mountain town team have reason to hope that Coach Kiatisak's team will "transform" in the next stage. Technical Director Vu Tien Thanh and "Thai Zico" will certainly have discussions and come up with plans to help the Pleiku home team show a more positive side. In addition, HAGL's injured players will also have time to recover and return to the squad.
Technical Director Vu Tien Thanh brings a "new breeze" to HAGL
In the first 8 rounds of the season, HAGL faced an unfavorable schedule, when they continuously met "tough" opponents. This, combined with a not-so-good squad, was the main reason why HAGL had poor results, greatly affecting the players' mentality and confidence. Therefore, the Pleiku home team struggled and is currently at the bottom of the rankings (5 points). However, in the remaining rounds of the first phase of the V-League (from round 9 to round 13), there will be matches where the mountain town team will face opponents of more equal strength, with the opportunity to earn points to improve their position.
Must maintain the yard surface and lighting system.
To ensure good professional work and conditions for organizing matches when the season returns, in the context of a long break and coinciding with the 2024 Lunar New Year holiday, the V-League organizing committee also noted that clubs should be proactive in developing training plans, while ensuring maintenance of stadium items (field surface, lighting system, billboards, facilities related to VAR installation, etc.).
