The preliminary round was held from June 10 to 23 at 8 clusters in the province including: Quang Xuong (Quang Xuong, Sam Son City, Thanh Hoa City), Nong Cong (Nong Cong, Thieu Hoa, Nhu Xuan, Nhu Thanh), Nghi Son town (Nghi Son town), Nga Son (Nga Son, Bim Son town, Hau Loc, Hoang Hoa), Thach Thanh (Thach Thanh, Vinh Loc, Yen Dinh), Ngoc Lac (Cam Thuy, Lang Chanh, Ngoc Lac), Thuong Xuan (Thuong Xuan, Tho Xuan, Trieu Son) and Ba Thuoc (Ba Thuoc, Quan Hoa, Quan Son, Muong Lat).

More than 400 candidates did not mind the rain and enthusiastically participated in the final selection round.

The new feature of the 2023 recruitment program is that Dong A Thanh Hoa Club will expand and accept candidates from neighboring provinces such as Ninh Binh, Nghe An... Candidates born in 2008-2009 and 2010-2012 are the focus of this recruitment with the goal of building and supplementing the U13 and U15 teams of the Club.

Also participating are members of the coaching staff of the club's youth teams. After 2 years as an assistant to coach Petrovic, Mr. Svetislav Tanasijevic was entrusted by Dong A Thanh Hoa Club with the important responsibility of being the Director of the Youth Training Center. This Serbian coach has made his mark by leading Dong A Thanh Hoa U19 to win the 2023 National U19 Championship.

Coach Svetislav Tanasijevic himself is directly responsible for selecting nearly 80 of the best players out of 419 candidates in the final selection round held at the provincial stadium on June 25. Candidates will have to perform many difficult exercises, especially the test of technical ability in ball handling, jumping, speed, command, dexterity, agility, and at the same time have to go through the competition (players are divided into teams), testing the ability to coordinate defense, attack, and finish...

The contestants enthusiastically competed in their competitions, performing quite attractively on the field despite the unfavorable weather, rain. Many parents were also present on the field to watch and cheer for their children.
