In the final match with Daniil Medvedev on the morning of September 11 at Flushing Meadows (New York, USA), Novak Djokovic only really had a little difficulty in set 2 when he was dragged into a tie-break by his opponent and had to save many set points.

However, the world number 1 tennis player's bravery helped Novak Djokovic win this set 7-6. In set 1 and set 3, Djokovic defeated his Russian opponent 6-3.

After more than 3 hours of competition, Novak Djokovic defeated Medvedev 6-3, 7-6, 6-3 to win the US Open for the 4th time and own the 24th Grand Slam of his career.

This title helps Novak Djokovic equal the record of the most Grand Slam titles of all time with Australian singles legend Margaret Court, with 24 titles. With his current form, Novak Djokovic can set a new record, even though the Serbian tennis player is 36 years old this year.

In 2023, Djokovic reached the finals of all 4 Grand Slam tournaments, he lost to Alcaraz in the Wimbledon final and won the Australian Open, Roland Garros, US Open. Nole also reached 4 Grand Slam finals in 2021 and he lost exactly one match to Daniil Medvedev at the US Open.

This is the 4th time Novak Djokovic has won 3/4 Grand Slams in 1 year, the previous 3 times were in 2011, 2015 and 2021. The 2023 US Open championship helps Djokovic extend the number of weeks of domination at the world No. 1 position to 390, a record that is unlikely to be broken.

Of his 24 Grand Slam titles, Novak Djokovic has won the Australian Open 10 times (2008, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2015, 2016, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2023), Roland Garros 3 times (2016, 2021, 2023), Wimbledon 7 times (2011, 2014, 2015, 2018, 2019, 2021, 2022) and US Open 4 times (2011, 2015, 2018, 2023).

Nole has firmly established himself as the number 1 player in the history of men's singles tennis, far surpassing his two arch-rivals Nadal and Federer. Novak Djokovic has 69 major titles (including Grand Slams, ATP Finals and ATP Master 1,000). Meanwhile, Nadal has only 59 titles, while Federer has 54.
