QS Stars is part of the Quacquarelli Symonds (QS) rating system - a scale of educational quality recognized by famous universities around the world. The rating system is based on criteria such as learning experience, student output quality, sustainability, global integration, research and innovation. In which, the 5-star rating is the level for universities that achieve excellent scores in all criteria.

Specifically, the school is awarded 5 stars in 9 areas: global integration, transparent governance, strong training programs, academic development, teaching quality, employment opportunities, facilities, culture - arts and social impact.

A multicultural class at VinUni University

Regarding the Global Integration criteria, VinUni makes a strong impression with its extensive research and academic cooperation network with prestigious global partners, a high ratio of international lecturers and students, coming from more than 20 countries around the world.

Regarding the Transparent Governance criterion, although it is the first criterion to appear in the QS ranking index, VinUni has successfully achieved 5 stars for its continuous innovation in the governance system. VinUni's policy mechanisms aim at sustainable development, equality and inclusion, and the satisfaction of lecturers and staff.

Regarding the strength training program, VinUni has selected the health science group including the residency program and nursing program to participate in the accreditation. The programs have demonstrated outstanding quality through achieving rigorous international accreditation certifications such as ACGME-I for the residency program, ACEN for the nursing program and the employment rate of students immediately after graduation is 100%.

Regarding the Academic Development criterion, 100% of lecturers participate in training programs on active teaching and learning methods. The creativity in teaching methods of VinUni lecturers has been demonstrated through the QS Reimagine Education Award 2023.

Regarding Teaching Quality, the satisfaction rate for teaching quality and learning experience far exceeds the QS 5-star maximum score requirement. Notably, just 2 months after graduation, VinUni had 26.6% of students accepted into postgraduate training programs at prestigious universities around the world. VinUni students have personalized learning experiences through academic advising from the first year and support from the advanced Canvas-based learning management system (LMS), along with a 5-star standard facility system since its establishment.

Regarding employment opportunities, just 2 months after the first graduating class, VinUni has made a strong impression with an employment and start-up rate of 80% compared to QS's requirement of 90% after 24 months. Through a student employment survey, the majority of students received jobs at multinational corporations or leading Vietnamese companies such as: E&Y, McKinsey, Google, Bosch, IBM, Techcombank...

The QS Stars system is a prestigious educational quality scale by QS (Quacquarelli Symonds), which has been in operation since 2004.
