On the evening of November 25, in Hanoi, the Central Propaganda Department chaired and coordinated with relevant units to organize the Award Ceremony of the 3rd National Art Photography Contest and Exhibition "Pride of a Border Strip" in 2024.

Speaking at the award ceremony, Politburo member, Party Central Committee Secretary, Head of the Central Propaganda Department, Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia emphasized that through 3 times of organizing the national art photography contest and exhibition "Proud of a border strip" it has increasingly made many impressions and practical effects. The contest has attracted more and more artists, intellectuals, especially the young generation to actively participate in composing, promoting and disseminating photographic art works on the theme of national borders and territories.
The contest has contributed to arousing love for the homeland, national pride, patriotism, awareness of firmly protecting independence, sovereignty, territorial integrity, and preserving the sacred borders of the Fatherland in every class of people.
This year's contest attracted nearly 2,000 authors from all over the country (double that of 2022), with more than 14,000 entries. The jury selected 22 best works for awards and 128 works for exhibition. The works were carefully invested, with a lot of passion, closely following the theme, creating new shooting angles, conveying authentic, emotional images, vividly reflecting the beauty of the homeland, country and people of Vietnam.
“Many works have contributed to spreading examples and simple but noble and sacred actions, to honor the forces that are day and night firmly protecting the borders, border sovereignty, national territory, and the living space of the nation; highlighting the glorious 80-year tradition of the heroic Vietnam People's Army,” Mr. Nguyen Trong Nghia affirmed.
According to the Head of the Central Propaganda Department, after 40 years of implementing the renovation process, the country has achieved great and historic achievements, independence, self-reliance, national sovereignty and a peaceful environment have been maintained. The entire Party, the entire people and the entire army are showing the highest determination and greatest efforts to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, preparing the mindset, conditions and resources to firmly enter a new era - the era of the Vietnamese nation's rise.
At the award ceremony, the Award Council honored the 22 best works of this year's competition, including: 2 Gold prizes, 4 Silver prizes, 6 Bronze prizes and 10 Encouragement prizes; selected 128 works to organize an exhibition to introduce to the public across the country, the overseas Vietnamese community and international friends.
Of which, 2 gold prizes belonged to the work "Coffee of the Central Highlands - Pride of Vietnamese Brand" by author Nguyen Khac Hao and the work "National Flag Flying on Hill A1 Dien Bien Phu" by author Vu Minh Hien.
