The organizing committee honored the 22 best works of the contest participating in the art photography contest "Pride of a border strip".
On the evening of November 25, the Central Propaganda Department coordinated with the Central External Relations Commission, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism, the Ministry of Public Security, the General Department of Politics of the Vietnam People's Army, the Border Guard Command, and the Vietnam Association of Photographic Artists to organize the award ceremony of the 3rd national art photography contest and exhibition "Pride of a border strip" in 2024.
Within 5 months, the Organizing Committee received more than 14,000 entries from nearly 2,000 authors from 63 provinces and cities, double that of 2022 with more than 14,000 entries.
At the award ceremony, the Award Council honored the 22 best works of the competition; selected 128 works to organize an exhibition to introduce to the public across the country, the overseas Vietnamese community and international friends.
Speaking at the award ceremony, Head of the Central Propaganda Department Nguyen Trong Nghia said that this year is the third year the contest has been held, leaving many impressions and practical results. In particular, after three times of organization, the contest has attracted an increasing number of intellectual artists, especially the young generation, to actively participate in composing, promoting and disseminating works of art and photography.

The Head of the Propaganda Department commented that the works were invested in meticulously with much enthusiasm, closely following the theme, creating new angles, conveying realistic and emotional images, vividly reflecting the beauty of the homeland, country and people of Vietnam.
Many works have contributed to spreading examples of simple yet noble and sacred actions to honor the forces that are day and night firmly protecting the borders, national territorial sovereignty, and the living space of the nation, highlighting the glorious 80-year tradition of the heroic Vietnam People's Army.

The Head of the Central Propaganda Department emphasized that after 40 years of implementing the Doi Moi process, the country has achieved great achievements. The entire Party, people and army are showing the highest determination and making the greatest efforts to successfully implement the Resolution of the 13th National Party Congress, preparing the mindset, conditions and resources to firmly enter a new era, an era of the Vietnamese nation's rise.

One of the top priorities according to the Head of the Propaganda Department is to strongly arouse national spirit, patriotism, self-reliance, self-confidence, self-reliance, national pride and the desire to develop the country, combining national strength with the strength of the times, domestic strength with international strength.
The Head of the Central Propaganda Department suggested continuing to strongly innovate the content, form, and methods of propaganda and foreign information to promote the image of the country and Vietnamese people internationally, especially information on economic, cultural, and social development in border areas... thereby contributing to improving the quality and effectiveness of propaganda and foreign information on national border and territorial work.
Pay special attention to the work of grasping the ideological situation and public opinion among the people to have appropriate propaganda measures. Timely detect, prevent and effectively combat wrong views and activities that take advantage of border, territorial, ethnic and religious issues to sabotage the great national unity bloc and the good traditional friendship between Vietnam and neighboring countries.

To do well in border work, the Head of the Propaganda Department noted that it is necessary to build a force to do propaganda work on national border and territory, with strong political will, deep understanding of border and territory work, in which the most important are the team of village elders, village chiefs, prestigious people in the border community and officers and soldiers of border posts, the force directly performing the task of preserving, protecting and building the border line.
